Interpretting art?
oh thanks fnord. i move from representational through to abstraction and expressionsim. I see good representational skill as the foundation point of any good artist - but not necessarily the place one has to adhere to or reside in permanently. Artists who are into self-expression often have that representation grounding and technical skill - but it has to be fused with something that is deeply spiritual in my view - a point you made very eloquently in a post yesterday , if i remember rightly.
life goes on. i just paint. i've been having a weird time of late since the AS dx because i haven't been able to paint so much.....i am trying to absorsb and understand my life finally from the correct paradigm that is AS and the recent dx. I am presumin gthings will settle down in a while, and i will get back in the studio as intently as before. I am develping a new specal interes with is As and WP. this happens every few years with me - another extreme indulgence in something - a secondary special interest - that will ease off again after a while.
It is nice to get feedback. thank you so much. I am getting brave about putting my work out there on the WP forum and letting it be known amongst new "virtual" friends who i relate to so extroardinarily - in a way i never have with other human beings.
ps. fnord - i like reading your posts. glad you like cletic music. my heritage is irish - county cork. but the family came to oz in the 1850's during the potato famine.
