I was born in Northern Ireland in 1952, and lived in a world of my own until I was 19. Then I went up to Cambridge (to avoid studying mathematics) in 1971, and lived in purgatory for 4 years. Then I moved to London in 1975, and have been living in hell ever since. I'm hoping to relocate to the real world any day now.
I see there's something called the Autism London Aspergers Group (ALAG), but I appear to be only half-Aspie (much like Mr. Spock is only half-Vulcan), so I don't know if it would be appropriate for me to go. However, I've e-mailed them, to ask if it's worth a try.
(I'm terribly socially phobic, so the prospect seems rather daunting. I don't want to be an outsider among outsiders, again!)

Almost certainly not Aspie, but certainly something like it
