Another oddity of how I write - I'm right handed, but I'm always told I write like a lefty.

i've always had a problem with weird handwring - you shold see my notes taken at the lectures - from neat letters to a total chaos.. although i am sometimes asked to write something like a dedication for someone on a present wrapping.. when i make an effort to write nicely, it looks good :)

I don't know what the difference is between printing and handwriting, but when I put a pencil/pen to paper you're not going to be able to read what is written.

"Handwriting" is normally called a current writing, as developed in chancelleries in 16th century and became the standard way of writing:

that immediately gives you a label of slow in elementary school, and affects everything else

I was always seen as very fast in elementary school. I was put in a sort of advanced group for a few days a week. The only flaw was that my handwriting sucked. (And I found being outside during recess boring, but that's another story)

I never learned cursive, even my signature is in a handwriting of my own creation. I print illegibly all the time. I am required to type everything for school.

I have very nice handwriting.. even if it does take me about twice as long as everyone else. My notes from college are atrocious but when I make the effort to handwrite a card or letter it is always rather pretty. I practice calligraphy though which has probably helped.

I have many types of handwriting.
when at school my fine motor skills were ok and so my handwriting was absolutely fine.
When i take notes (as i did at university) my handwriting was almost illegible and frenetic as I cannot summarize. My functional day to day handwriting at home is appalling.

I have printing, cursive, a kind of flourished copperplate, italics, the uni scrawl and a host of other little delights.
I also have had journals filled with my mirror writing which looks very strange and beautiful.

I also write backwards mirror writing and upside down at the same time and didn't even know i cold do it until we had a thread here on WP some months ago about the mirror writing.

Its' my latest party trick.... the only problem is i do not have parties.

I have several different kinds of handwriting too....I am somewhat hypergraphic (a word I learned on WP )....It ranges from neat hand-lettering...I do lots and lots of lettering for signs and the flyers I make all the time....to....horrible illegible scrawl...I write letters and parts of words backwards.....or intend to write one letter but write a different one and have to go over it.....it is pretty drastic...the range between my good and bad handwriting

^ oh ok, poopylungstuffing. That sounds so similar to my approaches to writing.

What is "hypergraphic?"

There was a thread about it a while back...it is where you write and write and write and write and write....on anything and everything.....I have tubs and tubs of notebooks and journals.....because of this...

ah...ok.
I do not really experience that. Although I did when i was younger for periods of time.
Possibly not as intensely as what you describe...which sounds quite amazing.

I´ve done that before, but just because I wanted to write down/organize/analyze my thoughts.

I have gone through phases where writing was a major stim...

I can write letters that are more like books....I would fill out job applications and there would be little white space left on the page...silly long rambly nonsense...My nose used to always be in my journal...I used to always need to have a writing/doodle pad on my desk at school....along with my regular notebook....I will find an example of my hypergraphia and photograph it when I have more time...
