I'd never threaten a pitbull or ANY dog. That's a given. I'm just talking about people who, just walking down the street minding their own business, suddenly gets attacked by a dog, the majority of them being pitbulls.

I'm also talking about other dogs in dog parks that are suddenly attacked for no reason whatsoever by another dog, the majority of them being pitbulls.
And yet you assume too many things.

Do you know:
1) How the dogs are trained or kept?
2) Are they rescued dogs that a person inherited certain things from bad owners?
3) Are you familiar with things that trigger the dogs and can say for absolute certainty that these people or other dogs did nothing to actually trigger a response?

Until then, it's not the breed, it's a bit of an unknown. It's your certainty that bothers me. It reminds me of the certainty that was applied to me and I bet you as well. But, you see no problem with putting that onto something else in such a blanket statement about a breed you do not like.

in defense of existing "bad dogs" I was attacked by a sheltie, of all animals. :o I later learned that the ones with a divot on the top of their heads [just like Dobermans] have a reputation for increased aggression. so I guess there are good and "bad" dogs of various breeds.

Just imagine if you took all that aggression and energy in any of the yap yap dogs and put them in a body of a medium large to large dog......oooof!!

I'm not a dog person but I could handle an Aibo. I think sony needed to mass-produce those little suckers and vastly lower the price, I think there would be markedly less dog-breeding if that happened.

HAhahahahaha!! I thought I was looking up a breed I'd never heard of and it's a dogbot!! That was the laugh I needed today :)

I was trying to figure the Sony connection LOL

I wonder why sony never made a cat aibo? [aibo means "companion" in Japanese]. I'd be first in line if they did.

Not all of them. Oddly enough, my daughter had one that was just as calm and relaxed as any larger dog. Not sure if it was the way she took care of her dog or if it was the dog itself or any combo.

My favorite breed is Collie. Pain in the ass to take care (Brushing, grooming), but very good dogs without the high maintenance. I know my limitations on taking care of animals. When I have the space, I may like a miniature collie.

That is odd, isn't it? You'd think that would have been an automatic.

and not a stick? ;) anyways, just imagine if sony could take a pared-down supercomputer brain and put it somehow into the body of a robotic pet, then you'd have something like the furry supertoy depicted in the movie "AI-Artificial Intelligence."

I like mine medium, with pink in the center.

If it's well done, it's burnt to me.

I think that would be the medium-well steak. I always tell them to knock the horns off on the way to the table.....

I think that has to do with where and how I was raised other than anything else.

SILENCE.
Most people seem to not like it. I require it.

I've heard other people say "just wipe its @$$" before it gets on my plate.
