Some sensations I can't stand:
-My ankles touching. I'm squeamish just thinking about it.
-The sound of a pencil being scraped extremely heavily against paper. I heard this mostly in my elementary school days. D:
-Things like heavy desks and furniture being dragged against carpet. It makes a very thick, friction-y-sounding noise that seems almost painful to me. It makes my teeth or fingers hurt for some reason!
-Chalk
-That fuzzy material velvet coloring posters are made of being scratched against/...colored on. Velvet.
-Babies crying loudly, if that counts.

ooo, just thought of another one. The smell of fried food clinging to my hair and clothes! I can't stand it and will be upset by it until I can change and wash my hair.

- New socks... makes my skin crawl
- High-pitched sound especially 16-25kHz
- Strobe lights
- The smell of mushrooms frying
- Un-expected loud noises - buzzers, alarms, the neighbors' phone ringing, car horns, etc.
- Being touched unexpectedly, esp. from behind.
- Many synthetic fabrics
- Most synthetic chemical scents.

Enough with the negative...
I love the smell of Water (think mountain stream in the spring), Autumn leaves and freshly dug topsoil.
I love the sound of John Coltraine's horn
I love the way our cat's fur feels

Sometimes, when I haven't tasted or smelled anything for a while, and I go to eat something with a strong flavor, I get sensory overload in my mouth and I get this intense pain all along my jaw.

I hate the feel of sandpaper. I don't file my fingernails EVER, unless the file is made of metal.
I hate the sound of telephones ringing.

The best smell in the world is Earl Grey tea. I love the taste of flower petals, and the smell of Earl Grey tea is pretty much the same.

Things that stick to my skin are my biggest ones.
Bandaids,
stickers,
cling film.

Egh. Also, the feeling of something metal on or between my teeth. Not just at the dentists, but with forks and spoons, too. It makes my skin crawl. Labels in clothes, my ankles touching, bright/direct lights, noisy places, two things going at once (radio & conversation, radio & tv, etc). Soft, repetitive noises, like music from far away, really disturb and distract me. I've moved rooms in the past because of it, even though it doesn't seem to bother anyone else in the building.

One of my absolute worst is being tickled. It just overloads my senses, it's horrible.

*Hearing screechy sounds like hot dogs being cut on a china plate.
*The smell of Bradford pear trees.

#1 and the MAIN one. When people scratch their forks on a plate or bite their forks, the noise hurts my teeth so much I have to cover my mouth in pain. When I was young, I would wear industrial headphones to the dinner table otherwise I couldn't join the family.

#2 The drill at the dentist, it's so high pitch and it hurts me thinking about the noise... ugh I hate this thread i'm leaving lol.

I can't stand the feel, sound, or look of chalk being used. The same also applies to "scratchy" pens like thin felt tips, fountain pens, or quills (i only use gel-tip pens).

One of my lecturers uses this green felt pen on a huge OHP. I can't look at it or i get shivers down my spine, so i just follow the printed notes and listen.

The buzz of old CRT TV's used to get to me. I'm happy to be in a world of flatscreens now. :>

Being touched.

Seriously. Light gives me horrible headaches, but I hate being touched (by people I don't know) more.

Ironically enough, hugging or being touched by people I am close to is one of my favorites.

I also really hate the feel of cold metal.

1. Having WET hair and clothes (THE worst), like after getting caught in the rain.
2. Scratchy wool sweaters
3. Overly tight clothing
4. Screechy microphones
5. Holding things between my teeth---GAG
6. Strong perfume or cologne, both men and women...ugh
7. Getting tickled, especially behind my knees...arrrrgh...overload
8. Getting my teeth cleaned, drilled, etc...I HATE IT.

Things under my skin (Needles, IV things)
Stuff stuck in my teeth
Feeling dirty (nonsexually. Like actually dirty.)
Stuff on the soles of my feet
Being sweaty

Probably more.

Touching dry things like sand, flour, or basically anything that leaves a dry residue. The word residue bothers me.

Things that change the sensation of a physical part of my body. IE. Numbing at the dentist, or the tingling feeling from mouthwash
