Thank you very much!

Thankyou so so much for this - I am not sure if I have aspergers as I hadn't discovered what it was until recently, and the textbook description of it I find confusing - so I searched the web for descriptions of more personal experience of what it feels like. This cartoon is so simple and quick to read yet it answers a lot more for me than much longer descriptions have. It made me laugh and cry at the same time - with my confusion involving both hope that asperger's explains symptoms I've struggled with all my life and also having a horrible feeling in my gut to realise that maybe I have something that can't be cured and how to deal with that if it's true - your cartoon made me cry with relief to have the syndrome presented so positively, and finally laugh to see that such funny humour can be drawn from it. I defo agree that this should be published.

P.s. The cartoon creature is delightfully adorable! ;)

I keep expecting something on this website to disappoint me with inaccurate descriptions because that is how my experiences have been in real life, but usually, like on this topic, I am pleasantly surprised that it is actually a good description.
The professionals I have available to work with around here are constantly trying to tell me that my challenges aren't real, that I lack self confidence, but I am sane after all! Thanks!

I just want to say this is by far the coolest social story or explanation book or whatever you'd call it that I've ever seen. I love the Illustrations especially. You should really see if you could get this published and maybe eve if you could get a deal publishing other social stories. You've really got a talent here but, I'm assuming you knew that lol. I plan to use your illustrations and story to help my daughter share with friends and others what Aspergers is and how it makes her different. Thank you for the post.

Hi there,

My latest cartoon is about self-advocacy and standing up for yourself, and it's even got some some rhyme to it. I hope you'll check it out!

The only reason I bring up selling anything here is that doing so would help publicise Asperger's--T-shirts, a comic, etc. I do not get selling anything to anyone, but I love your work here, and would love to see it on a T-shirt I could wear.

That's a really clear, good way of explaining AS to someone. Very nice, thank you for sharing. (:

I love it! I really like the part about feeling like we are on the wrong planet. I use to think my way of thinking went into the "common sense" part of thinking. I just recently found out its years of scripting all rolled into what I created to be "The perfect way". So when I hold a door open, I expect to be thanked, when I take a close friends call at 3am I expect they will take mine. When I have my kids make a gift for their dads birthday I expect he will do the same. Though thats were I am wrong. Apparently real people do not do the "do unto others" as a real way of life. I always am told, "its just not the way the real world works" and I always say, "in my world it does". Okay, I am rambling now. Great work I think I will show it too my spouse!
