I answered I like it because I love when noise is loud enough to hide chewing noises, I HATE chewing noises.

I think this may have increased over the last few years. I have special interests, but they are not necessarily "intense". Yes, I like trains, but I won't bring them up in a conversation unless it's relevant to the topic. There are times when I feel left out of the conversation, such as if people are talking about politics (ugh!) or sports (meh), or if I just don't have anything to say. Sometimes I might be a table and the people to my left are in a conversation and the people to the right are having a conversation and I still have nothing to say
