If the results aren't important, what does that mean about the test itself?

And what about a diagnosed Aspie who functions but still has symptoms having graphed results that look neurotypical?

So confused....

How do you resize the picture?

On one of these pages, Alex, who were dignosed at 9, displays "clearly neurotypical" scores.

I would think, that these tests, not one, but several, done on a regular basis over some time, might give a hint.
As I said, there are interpretational problems involved in the answering.
Another thing: As you dig into the questions, you might dig your way into a more detailed self-conception or -deception depending on your mindset.

this is the only thing i can remotely relate to that explains the ways i think and behave. i'm not so bad that i cannot function socially, but it certainly tires me out.

I was adviced to transfer the picture to ImageShack.us and then transfer it to the forum from there.

I got 110:117 but can't remember which way round they were, pretty much balanced.

I can say for sure that as a child I was far more in the AS spectrum of behaviour. I have learnt the social skills over the years and enjoy meeting interesting new people, but 9/10 are not interesting to me. Their interests seem so dull and pointless.

I used to watch other kids and understand that they were shouting and screaming because they were having fun playing, but I couldn't understand how the playing caused the screaming and excitement. There was no obvious link between the two and i thought they must be pretending, but that would be crazy, right?

Now I am in my 30's and I still think that other people are pretending to have more fun than they really are. So much of the nose is just convincing themselves that they are having fun and everything is great to avoid that anxious feeling of being alone with yourself that seems to be the curse of the modern Western world.

I can see how I have some very AS traits that are like a higher level of functioning, understanding and processing, but don't fit with how the general consensus do things. I get too caught up in detail and take too long for most things, but what i produce is generally of great quality if I am allowed the time to do it my way.

I can also function like a normal person if required but it soon feels constricting to me. Like my soul is being stifled.

Currently reading "Quiet" and wondering what the links are between introversion and the AS spectrum.

I didn't save the chart. Will probably take the advice posted upthread and go re-take the quiz every month or so for a while ... maybe answering all of the questions will help me get clearer results, but how do I know how other people perceive me unless they comment on it?
