Just because I have AS, do I have to respect all autists?

I'll admit that I did say to Zoonic that he doesn't sound like he has AS only because he himself said that he enjoyed bullying autistic people (saying they were inferior wax dolls or something to him) and that he wished that autism was cured/erased from the face of the earth. Now that doesn't sound like something an autistic person does, am I right?
Either way, I have no respect for him after he said all of those things.

Psygirl6, that's a personal assessment - not an absolute. First, it is a spectrum... different individuals have different capabilities, different interests, different desires. Second, not all people on the spectrum (or in general) want those same things. Withdrawing from situations is not due to shame; there are many reasons an autistic individual may wish to retreat. A person with Asperger's is not automatically a model citizen, honest, or any other moral distinction you wish to place upon it. People on the spectrum can be dishonest; their motivations for doing so may be entirely alien to those not affected. As a personal example, I am not an obedient person by most standards.

I don't think he has AS. He has waaaaay too much ToM to be AS. He wants some Aspie friends and to bash people, judging by how he posts.

They bully you, the ret*ds do because the ret*ds know that you have more going for you than they will have going for them but you are a shining example of proof that asperger's and autism have little in common. Aspies aren't ret*d, they could become sociopathic if they just put forth the effort. It's all this extreme wahhh wahhh I wanna die waahhh crap that really makes me roll my eyes. Stop crying little babies and grow up. I get so sick and tired of these capable beings who could try a little harder being a bunch of whiny self loathers and pretending they can't hold down jobs when they are clearly capable of doing so just so they can get pity. You aren't ret*ds well...some of you might be.

Oh waaahh girls dont want me. They sure dont! That is where I come in and whisk the girl you want away from you and grin to your face as you pout and be a little wimp. You snooze you lose. Besides, a girl would much rather date someone who isn't a big fat rolly polly baby man. Girls want confident men who will take care of them. I wont really do that but can at least give out that impression so that I can use my new girl to get somewhere in life or use as a great arm trophy if it's a good idea to boost my self image to others. Why cant any of you just do it? Quit trying to make evryone baby you and feel sorry for you. Quit pitying yourselves. It makes you even uglier than you already are.

I am not crying, whining or self pitying and I do not deliberately fail at things so I can get pity. Most of the threads in here are either neutral discussions about other people's Aspergian traits, or they are constructive ones about solving AS-related problems. YOU chose to come storming in here and dismiss everyone's discussions as merely whining. f**k you. If you are so annoyed by the atmosphere on this forum then get out and don't come back.

Rolly polly baby man? Let me think of all the Aspies I know in real life. One is about 5'8 and about 120 lbs, and looks like he's made from wires. One is 5'4 also about 120lbs, also thin and wiry. One is 6'6, heavy boned but not fat. One is 6ft and around 200lbs (normal weight for that height). Nope, none of them rolly polly baby men.

Why don't you just go and die? You call us pathetic, but you're devoting a goodly proportion of your free time in here spewing anger at everyone else because we're using an AS support forum for the purpose it was created for. Your pitiful childish outbursts say more about you than us.

Not knowing doesn't make you stupid. Lots of people get confused on that.Theory of mind is basically the innate ability to know what another person is feeling--and feeling what someone else is feeling one's self. However, the term empathy is often commonly interchanged with compassion and is associated with people who others find likable. Here's where the problem comes in: your typical spectrumite doesn't exhibit feelings the way most people do. Example: expressing happiness by smiling and unknowingly portraying an exaggerated grimace, or the subtle changes in body language that just goes over our heads altogether.

Though I will say this much: In the context of sociopathy and autism spectrum disorders, being a bit naive and socially clueless is worlds away from seeing how some feels ,then carries on being mean spirited anyway--but to the untrained eye, for all outward appearances, spectrum people can look uncaring. Most people have no idea how much their brain does for them on autopilot.

I think everyone should stop addressing him. Zoonic's at least been somewhat open to honest discussion and makes some valid observations. This aspiesteve d-bag is 100% troll, and not a very intelligent one at that.

While there's no hierarchy (as far I know), there most deffinately are people on this very forum who actively engage in anti-NT propaganda and aspie superiority.

Outside of the trolls there have been some excellent posts, I hope future posters will ignore the assinine comments made by the trolls so this discussion can continue. I think it's important to separate some important facts from the misrepresenting claims of this 'mob', which are not confined to this forum alone.
