I got 9, but I know that executive function kicks my butt. Maybe it's because animals were one of my obsessive autistic interests as a child.

I got six. It's harder than it seems. I get flustered by the time limit aspect of tests like this. Can't pull things up under pressure.

No idea what EFD is, but this is kind of neat...a lot like Scategories, which I'm not too shabby at, except I didn't have to remind myself not to put "snake" down, because surely everyone else will put it as well ;)

I also knew Ihad to write down each new animal I thought of, or otherwise at teh end of the minute I would have only remembered shark and salmon.

I knew if I didn't write them down, I would go "Snake, squirrel...uh...that's two...did I say shark already? Wait...what were my first two? Well...I think I have eight..."

snake
squirrel
shark
salimander
siamese cat
scorpion
sandpiper
stork
seagull
seabass

Also helps to reminds yourself not to waste time deciding if scorpions are animals or not ;)

I got brain freeze, and one of my animals was Sasquatch so if I include that I get 5 (but I guess I'd have to first prove it's existence)! !

Never heard of executive function, which surprises me. Brb google researching time.

I got 7, but it was hard. I thought of squirrel and salamander, and then couldn't think of anything else because I was thinking too hard about "squirrel and salamander, squirrel and salamander!"

I got around it (sort of...7 isn't a lot) by thinking of categories of animals. "Do I know any barn yard animals that begin with S? Oh! Sheep!"
I'm sad that I didn't even think of shark, shrew, snail, all of those. By now I don't even remember what most of my list was!

Define animal! Are subspecies allowed? 5-9 here.

"Ssss... snake! salmon, snake, wait I already said that. Um, snake. Bleh. *looks at keyboard* sq... squirrel! sw... swimming, no that's not an animal. Some snakes swim. Need to think of other animals. Swarm. No. Then there was that snake that moved sideways, sidewinder - does that count? Argh! Se... second, senegal - yay! Sr... shrimp! *dog barks* Setter, spaniel, springer" time up

I got salamander and snake and then got stuck thinking about amphibians/reptiles. It's weird I've never understood why I do that.. someone asks me a question like that and I always get stuck and look like an idiot.. then I look back at it and it seems like such an easy thing to do.

this isn't a valid test. yes they do something similar to this on aptitude tests but it isn't meant to be use in isolation.

snake, snail, seal, sea gull, swan, skunk, siamese cat, swordfish, ...

I thought I had 9 counting on my fingers as I thought them up but I'm now missing one. Either I thought of the same one twice by accident or I'm forgetting one.

I think anxiety plays a big factor for me with this kind of test. I'd be lucky to think of two if I was suddenly forced to do this in front of a group of people. My mind kind of drifts off sometimes.

Likewise. I thought of four, but I'm not sure if "sea otter" counts.

Snake, Sparrow, and I seem to be the only one who thought of "Snow Leopard". I did come up with Sparrowhawk but for some reason tossed it off my list because I already had sparrow.
