Those places are to-die-for! We have a real lack of water here, it's forbidden to wash the car or water the garden, the fines are very expensive. (not kidding) I dream of cold places with no fauna in the air.

Ebonwinter, I'm a Southamerican who emigrated to Israel half a life ago, I live in Tel Aviv and enjoy going to Jerusalem once or twice a week to take pictures.

How do I post a photo from here? I really wanna!


Cool how is the city there so much history. Its hard to explain unless I know your source for the pictures

Tel Aviv is ugly, except for the Mediterrenean Sea. I love Jerusalem.

Do you mean I should upload them to Flickr first?

Ok in the posting window when you type your messages you click on the button next to the youtube one copy the pictures url and paste it in the window that pops up and then you're done

I use photobucket to post small versions of my photos. It's free.

For the large versions I have a flickr account that I pay $20 a year for. To post here I transfer the small versions from flickr to the photobucket site and then copy the link (the one with [img] tags).

I'd really like to see your pictures. :D

This is the Holy Sepulchre church in Jerusalem, and I'm looking down towards the construction that covers the cave where Jesus was buried according to the Christian tradition. It's in the Holy Sepulchre. I was standing upstairs, at the dome that belongs to the Greek Orthodox Christians.

This is the 6th. station of the Via Dolorosa, where Veronica wiped Jesus' face. This is the original house where Veronica lived!

Every year, on Good Friday of Easter, pilgrims come from all over the world to make processions along the Via Dolorosa - and I go to take photos of them.

Here you see one of the processions, it's the American one. Each year they make a representation of Jesus walking along the Via Dolorosa with the Roman guards and the women crying behind him. Everyone waits for the American procession because it's so Hollywood-like! Because they're Americans and this is the Muslim Quarter of the Old City, it's hard to take photos because the guys are all surrounded by a belt of Israeli police. With my lack of understanding of the non-verbal, I didn't realize I was supposed to stay away and so I walked together with "Jesus" all the way taking photos :lol: The police guys were pushing and yelling at me all the time, but I didn't understand I had to move off until a police girl looked at me like she realized I was ret*d and gave me the instructions verbally. Then I immediately understood and pulled aside.
