I think, I'm not sure, but I think, the point jamieg is trying to make is that aspies, by virtue of articulacy, are more efficient in our comunication, and therefore utilise less resources with which to transmit our ideas. I can't say I agree, as I've often been accused of beng overly enamored of the sound of my own voice, but in theory she is right.

think what you want

it was you that went off on cut down less trees is not more environment friendly

it was also you that went off on using a computer is more environment friendly and all i was doing was making you aware of what goes in making you able to turn your computer on

if did not mention power and things that make electricity then i guess you have the fairy dust power version for being able to use a computer

just think what you want even if you do not want to ever think of things that is actually directly related to what you want but does not fit your ideal little concept

This is because Aspies are a minority. Not because Aspies are more enviromentally friendly. It is very true that conveying one's ideas on paper is less enviromentally friendly than conveying one's idea on the internet. NTs spill more ink not because they are less concise but because there are far more of them who have publishing contracts or are journalists. Temple Grandin is no more concise than any other author and in fact I think is less concise than some (I've read and learned from her books). The difference is that she is outnumbered by countless NT authors who spill more ink than her not as individuals (many have written less) but collectively because AS authors are outnumbered by NT authors.

In short, it has nothing to do with conciseness or a preference for the internet (most blogs are by NT people, just by sheer numbers). It has to do with Aspies being overwhelmingly outnumbered.

I don't tend to read much fiction, but I'm very fond of Tom Wolfe,...but I'm very fond of Tom Wolfe,.....but I'm very fond of Tom Wolfe.

Did you mean to post this in the thread called "What fictional character are you like"? Just wondering, cause I don't see how it relates to anything here unless Tom Wolfe is always right.

It was a subtle inside joke pertaining to the previous several posts equating "aspieness" to conciseness. Tom Wolfe is an odd individual. He routinely wears a white suit (sort of like Col. Sanders), has an exceptionally pedantinc writing style, and will repeat various phrases in his work over and over and over and over. Some might equate his eccentricities to AS.

Also, he is the author of "The "right" stuff".

Ah. I get it twice. Don't mean to give the impression that I am pedantic or something.
