Yes. My mother has also remarked that my climbing in trees (I did this a lot when I was younger) looked awkward or otherwise not the best way to do it. But I never fell from a tree.

Just like with art class, I absolutely sucked at the physical aspects of gym class. It got to the point where the other kids in my gym class resented having me on their team, because they knew as well as I did that I equaled failure. :(

I can't recall. We did alot of individual activities, not sure how I did there. I do remember having a fondness for dodge ball, though.

I get the since the my school was unusual in having remedial P.E., since no one yet has mentioned such a thing. They may not have called it that. But I remember going to a special gym class for those of us not good at such things. I think for just one school year, or part of a school year. Somewhere in 4th thru 6th grade. I'm not sure it did any good.

I don't recall being picked on or anything. More like being socially oblivious. But I was never good at any of the sports. Health and Wellness class in college was better. No sports. :) And the grade was based on participation and classroom part of the class, so, easy A.

No. I was actualy the "pet" of the gym teacher. My mom says its probably because with her I was allowed to be hyper and busy and so she was able to see my good side or that Mrs. Tacket was nice. Either way, the lady was a saint.

Absolutely! Luckily they let me change in a place other than the locker room, so my trauma is minimal.

I had this problem in high school. I loved playing dodgeball, but I was so weak I could never throw the ball that fast. I started just waiting for the other team to throw balls and I would catch them, then give 'em to the strongest players on my team. I got respect for that. You just gotta' turn a good thing into a bad thing.

I sucked at gym when it came to team sports, but I was good at track and field, jogging, fitness and most other solitary things.
Except bowling. As of right now, my bowling score is 11.

Oh yeah. Hated sports and gym at school. And I was awful at it (partly because I made no effort, partly because I'm naturally clumsy). Teamwork and gross motor co-ordination - not my strong points!

I never got why other kids were so annoyed that I was crap and didn't want to join in. Why couldn't they just ignore me and throw the ball to someone who could be useful?!

I'm actually a very athletic person. I used to run, and running helps you get better at lots of sports. Now I'm on the baseball team, and everyone is impressed with my speed. In my freshman year I even ran a 6 minute mile in track! I had no trouble in P.E. last semester because I was faster and had more endurance than almost everyone else. So basically, running makes you get better at everything.

I still have 4 years of torture to go (I'm 15 this year, but PE is compulsory in Singapore until you're 18 I think)

For the first half of the year, we're learning badminton. Most people already are experts, so it's wasted on them, but for me it's hell. First running about 1km+ without warming up is terrible because it tires me out and leaves me in a lot of pain (running causes pain for me. Like someone's sticking red hot knives up my feet). Then I have terrible coordination, so I can try to hit the shuttlecock but I fail miserably and I'm always the worst person at PE in my class.

Next half of the year will be basketball. Whenever it's team sports, I'm always last to be picked and the last person to find a group is scolded by the teacher for being slow when my problem is that no one wants me because I always pull the whole team down. Sigh.

I suck. I can't run and almost noone believes it's possible. But my knees aren't flexible enough so I can't.
And I don't know what team is mine, because people look the same. And I don't know what's going on

But when it's individual discipline and/or running is not required, I can be good. I have the power in my arms so I like play volleyball - I can hit the ball and people are divided so I know who's in my team. Individual: swimming, canoeing, badminton. I am resistant and it's hard to make me tired. But 100 m running is my limit.

I do well in gym. Everyone wonders if I have practised to become 'so good' at it.
But I haven't. On the other hand I do not think gym is particularly fun.

I've always stunk at gym and PE etc. The only really thing that I've been good at that that links to that in any kind of way is Boccia.
