how far do a bully have to go before the school see it .

That's what my mother did after a while; she threatened the school with the police. That's when they finally did something to punish the bully. They didn't do much, though; the gave him a couple days of In School Suspension after months of him beating on me, turning the class against me, and other forms of mental torment.

I am bullied day in and day out.... the wierd thing is that people don't seem to know that what they say hurts! And im not sensitive at all to bullies! It's not physical or anything, but its so often and so much that it can be really tough. I think a lot of kids really have no idea that they are bullies, and a lot of the teachers are the same way! I have also had the same problem with teachers yelling at me. For telling bullies to shut up! It sucks! I hate school mostly because of bullies! And because teachers are mean and stupid, just like the kids. They never learn, do they....

I was pushed down the stairs by a kid and had to spend the night in the hospital for observation due to a massive bump on my head. All they did was to suspend the kid for two weeks. Three months later he broke my finger when I raised my hand to be excused in a studyhall. All they did was suspend him again and told me to be more carefull.

In the same study hall a kid who was sitting behind me set my shirt tail on fire. All the teacher did was to take the lighter away from him. Then he yelled at me for always starting trouble in his class. He said he only had trouble in his class when I am around.

bullies can go however far they want. they can name call or physically harass or isolate their victims and the teachers will not do a single solitary thing. i was teased really badly and mocked and embarrassed in front of teachers and they never did a thing. when i was younger i snapped and grabbed one of the kids who teased me and i was gonna floor him and the teacher did nothing. she watched the kid tease me and did not tell him to shut his pie hole and she watched me grab a kid smaller than me in what was clearly a threatening manner and did nothing to stop me. they don't punish bullies adequately either. i haven't seen any get anything more than a good talk with the teachers. most of the time its not even a talk its just a warning. i know a group of boys that physically attacked a student smaller than them and they got into trouble. the teachers talked to them and i think they got detention. they didn't learn anything though. a week later i saw them pass what i assume was the kid because when they did one of them looked at him and moved quickly as if he was going to attack the kid and the poor boy just looked so small and frightened. bullies don't change most of the time. i think there were teachers present at the time too.

I can't stand how justice is no longer served. I think some of the schools have staff members that are bullies themselves. This has got to stop! Schools should be sued if someone stands up against a bully and is penalized heavily.

Teachers need to be allowed to get angry at students. You may say, "oh but that would lead to too harsh of punishment! It's inhumane!" Well the military doesn't hit you, but they'll punish the hell out of you if you don't behave. Teachers should be allowed to punish students the right way. I remember in third grade when the teacher would make a bad kid sit in a desk with their head down where everyone could see them. The rest of the day, they'd be embarrassed and humiliated by authority. I once tried to be real bad and bust the teachers patience and I lost recess for a whole week. Its called discipline and mean little snots need to learn it. I'd go even further than my third grade teacher. Those bullies can run a mile and do 20 push ups.

They have not been innocent even in my grandmother's youth...

But yeah, I think there should be a policy against bullying and teachers who willfully ignore it should get into trouble.
