I love the show Dexter, and find the main character very relatable. Not because he likes to kill people, but because he spends most of his time pretending to act normal.

I love Dexter! I worry every season that they'll somehow "fix" him and I'll lose one of my favorite characters.

Big Bang Theory and Black Books are also a couple of my favorites. (Bernard isn't an aspie, but he's so grumpy and anti-social. :-) )

I do not watch tv much but I watch series on netflix and such and movie series.

I am not sure what you mean by shows that appealed to my aspergers but my facinations in terms of film media include

Singing in the rain
The court jester
Glee
The sergeant general
Top Hat
Caprica
Earth Sea
Xena
Happy Feet
Hair
Hairspray
Chicago
Burlesque (i loved not only the musical aspect but how the movie portrayed the meaning of the word burlesque by adding oldies to twisted stage costumes =) )
Repo the genetic opera
The Music Man

I should have been more into Cheers than I was, considering that "Cliff" is my nickname, after Cliff Claven, the know-it-all but socially inept postman character. Like him, I can cut loose with some off the wall factoid on pretty much any subject. My brother started calling me Cliff and it stuck, to the point that my last b'day cake had Happy Birthday Cliff on it.

Only recently watched Big Bang Theory. I am more of a History/Discovery/Travel channel kind of girl, and pretty much stay away from fictionalized TV shows. But it's actually pretty good, and knowing now what I do about ASPies, Sheldon is the proverbial "look up Asperger's in the dictionary and his picture will be there".

Good to see some Louie fans here. I believe Louis CK is a comic god. Other shows I've been into:
Seinfeld -- Could Kramer fit on the spectrum somewhere?
MA*S*H
Frasier
Monty Python -- and pretty much the whole Britcom universe. Red Dwarf, Father Ted, Absolutely Fabulous, etc.
South Park
Twilight Zone
