Come to think of it, I have no idea how this forum sees me, so I'm not sure.

Ya. I rarely feel like it's my place. Even on forums when I fit (my SI, autistic people, etc.), I feel like eternal guest.
I thought that here, on WP, it's because it's American forum, other culture, blablabla, but it's not true. As I said, I feel strange everywhere.

Yes. I don't really form relationships too easily; so when people PM me, and I try to reply, it always feels awkward. I try to answer questions and talk about things, but it's difficult to actually bond with anybody.

It's not like that's horrible or anything. I'm used to it.

85% of us are outsiders? Wow the inner circle really must not be welcoming.

I don't know if such a place exists where I can "fit in" or if it's even possible or if I even want to. Perhaps I am a bit too comfortable in this role as outsider? 8)

i don't know if you are joking or not, but i think you're great! i enjoy reading your opinions and perspectives.

i know i'm an outsider in some ways, because i post unpopular opinions. i am unfortunately very strident in defending my ideas, and that means i will make people angry.

Maybe it's the dangerous pants putting people off.

Well, I remember there was one time with dynamite involved. I forget the outcome.

I've never felt shunned here, just unacknowledged sometimes and it seems that most feel that way one time or another. Like when I make a point and no one responds and then another member makes the same point and that point is acknowledged. I don't command attention in real life either.
I've had a member or two PM me but never really got a dialogue off and running.
I'm kind of like another member here in my view on socializing. I don't want to have to come up with stuff to say. I just find it exhausting. It's not possible to have a friendship online where you can sit in companionable silence. :wink:

Im an outsider to this world, and i wouldnt have it any other way. I am a citizen of heaven, "doing time" on this spinning ball of evil.

I usually feel the same way, Aimless. No matter where I am. I've had this sneaking suspicion that on other forums, people go forth and pm people, and it has only occurred to me recently that I should probably give this a go, although I'm quite uncomfortable doing this. I feel most comfortable when somebody else comes to me.

I feel a lot like that.

I think this thread was very worthwhile. It shows we all have a lot more in common. It's nice to have a thread that's not full of arguments, just people talking about their experience.

yeah, true. it's interesting because lots of the people on the thread are people i would have called 'popular' on WP, and yet they feel like i do.

but i still feel compelled to hand out some {{{{{{awkward aspie hugs}}}}}}
