Squeeze me please....

Before i moved to this apartment I had a bed that consisted of a top and bottom mattress, I only used one of them, the one without the springs because of my back, and directly on the floor.

I had it positioned so that it left a perfect sized gap between it and the wall for me to roll down and into, and I would cram myself into that gap either when I needed settling or couldn't sleep.

Speaking of sleep, I can't stand not having a heavy comforter. Here in Norway the norm is heavy down comforters. When on vacation I hardly get any sleep unless I'm bug-fuck stupid drunk because they only supply those thin sheets in most hotels... :(

Ooooh! I'm a security guard, and in certain circumstances I'm required to wear a knife-proof vest, and I absolutely love it!!

The others usually complain about how rigid and tight they are, but I simply love them!! Haven't done that kind of service in years, though... :(

I love deep pressure massages. I also love heavy blankets. I don't like hugging though. Why is deep pressure relevant to AS? Is it a comfort thing?

I LOOOOOOOOVE being squeezed by my significant other. It's incredibly nice and gives me lovey-dovey feelings. It's so comforting that I could fall asleep.

Hear, hear! I've heard the same thing from officers and soldiers. I've worn my bulletproof vest over my shirt around my friends because they think it looks cool and they don't think it's so weird given my sci-fi bent on fashion. Around others, it has to be concealed.

I grew up getting big hugs from my parents, big brother, and therapists to calm my anxiety and stress in school. Now I'm in middle school and these hugs are not as available. I have to try other things like pressing myself against tables and door frames. Others find this strange so I am really hesitant to do this in public, but sometimes I really need the pressure.

I've been searching around for other ideas. Does anyone have any ideas that work for you? I've looked into different products but there is nothing I can really use on a regular basis at school.

I crave deep pressure quite a lot. Massages are the best thing in the world to me...I tend to have muscle aches and pains from a combination of anxiety, working on my yoga postures, and carrying heavy bags often. I love to both give and receive, and am always massaging my mom and boyfriend. I also have tried weighted blankets before and I just loved them.

Who believes all that stuff about deep pressure being especially good for people with AS and autism? I don't know many people who would refuse a good massage.

I have lived 70 years and never had a massage.

Many years ago, when my x-wife and I were breaking up (it took YEARS), I came to feel like an "untouchable," and so (naturally) I made an appointment at the local gym for a massage...but then I cancelled. I had no idea how I would act... I thought I might cry... or laugh, or be too talkative, or not talk at all.

I love deep pressure! I have ever since I was a kid. I remember wrapping myself up tightly in a blanket and loving the feeling. My friend and I are planning on making our own weighted blankets as soon as we find the plastic pellets.

When in doubt, ask an autistic. Chances are, they're obsessed with what you need to know.

When I was younger, my dad and I used to go boating a lot. I'd always wear my life jacket tight. I loved how it felt!

This company sells a squeeze vest (you blow it up) - http://www.squeasewear.com/ - has anyone used one of these?
