Should having friends be a "fundamental right"?

I don't see how you could change anything by having "default friends". People still have to hit it off and have some bond form between them for a real friendship to take place.

When it comes to lame ideas I think this ranks up there with the "Should the government provide everyone with a boyfriend/girlfriend?" thread someone made earlier this year.
