I was scared of them when I was young. Mostly the loud thunder.
I love thunderstorms now!

I like thunderstorms. In the East of the UK we don't seem to get any thunderstorms any more.

I've been traumatized ever since almost getting struck by lightning. I was running to get inside during a storm when lightning struck right next to me. I saw a white flash and my whole body went numb for a few seconds. It felt like everything was in slow motion.

Love them.....but I like when they are not very close to the place I am, since when they're close, thunders tend to be rather loud.....and my ears do not like that. I also definitely love lightning, I once even experienced a lightning that strucked ground about 100 meters from me (I was in the car, so it was not that dangerous).

I love them! But we didn't have them very often here. But I love it when we do! Both the thunder and the rain. When it's warm enough I go for walks in the rain. It's great! And it's fun to see all the people with their umbrellas who hates the rain, and those who are running to get home as dry as possible. I want more rain!

I love them it is the sever ones that I do not like esspecially the ones Ive experienced when I lived in Houston Texas for 3 years lightning striking the ground like every 5 seconds and watching a tree get struck right across the street. In my bedroom My bed was next to a big window with a tree next to it whenever it got bad I went into my closet to sleep until the storm blew over. My stepdad would pick on me because of that.

I hate thunderstorms. The noise and flashing doesn't bother me too much, it's that I'm actually afraid of getting struck by lighting. My bedside is right next to a large second floor window, and it seems so easy for a bolt of lightning to travel through that thin pane of glass while I'm in bed at night.

Hi

I live where we do not have thunder storms - I can remember only two storms in my entire life that had any lightening ground strikes - and one was on the afternoon of my high school graduation more than 40 years ago.

I can also remember when visiting an uncle in the States at about age 8 and standing on his porch being absolutely enthralled with the spectacle of a full on thunder storm.

I -loooooovvveeeee- thunderstorms, but we very very rarely get them where I live :(. I like the sound of the deep thunder, the heavy rain, the smell, the strange tint to the light, the feel of the air, etc.

I'm never as alive as I am during a storm. I focus on them intently. Scared to death at times, yeah. But ALIVE.

I wouldn't mind them if I didn't have to worry excessively about it knocking the power out and high winds possibly knocking my motorcycle over. :?

I despise thunderstorms, they are the bane of my existence. The distant rumbling is ok, but the big booms are mind numbing. Recently I have had several thunderstorms where the thunder set off car alarms (although one had a few tornadoes involved). The worst part is that they happen more often at night than during the day. This means that I am then guaranteed to get zero sleep that night (and I do not sleep well anyways). It will wake me just as soon as I fall asleep and all of my dreams are going to be rather disturbing (more than normal).

I know the rain is good for the environment especially as my area is coming out of a drought (and coming out of it well), but I cringe when I see rain on the forecast. Especially as more often than not they set off the car alarms in the apartment parking lot! In the middle of the night of course.

I love storms! I am documented storm chaser from Australia. Don't have any worries! But I have some fear by the strength of winds. Seeing trees going sideways and stuff is really scary! A tornado is worst part of it.

I don't wish for tornadoes to wipe out cities, kill, maim, and ruin people's lives, but if one ever came and took me out personally it would be a happy death for me. I'd probably just be standing there completely mesmerized, wetting myself in shear excitement and awe and then BAM!

when i rent a place to live in, i am much more hoping storms will be severe because i can get the sensual excitement from them without fear of having to pay for damage.

now i own where i live, i am not so excited about severe weather events. tonight there are gale force winds here.

i hope that my tiled roof does not get compromised by the force of the wind. twigs are hitting the windows with force, and i want to go to sleep shortly, so it would be a major hassle if a window got broken or some other structural damage occurred.

i am insured, but still it would be a serious debt to my patience if i had to hire a motel room for a few days while the damage was fixed.

i like sensory intensity very much, but i value it less than the integrity of what i own.
