"Things are not always black and white... I used to think you were just trying to piss me off"
"Talking to you is like talking to a computer; I have to explain everything" (my dad the computer programmer said this to me when I got stuck on some details and missed the big picture)
"How do you keep all that stuff in your head?"
"I was being sarcastic" (mostly said by my sister; her "sarcasm" is deadpanned and impossible to tell apart from her normal voice)
"Are you okay? You look sad"
"We've already established that you're different."
"Most people don't care about the details like you, they just enjoy the story."
"You're like a bulldog with a chew toy; you just won't let go of a topic"

Most of these were from my dad, I think he's finally starting to understand why I think I have AS.

Most people don't tell me my specific quirks. They just tell me that I am a weirdo, freak, or mutant in general.

I was just wondering. With me, a couple of people have pointed out how much I jump into other people's conversations (when I thought that was just called ''joining in'').

I used to do this on facebook, my sister's conversations with her friends would show up on my wall and I'd join in, thinking it was okay because it was there for me to see too. She told me later that this was weird. I don't use facebook anymore, mostly because it's a huge waste of my otherwise valuable time.

You always look angry.
Whats wrong?
What's bothering you?
You never stop arguing.
You never admit to being wrong. (I was right)
Why do we struggle so much with you! Why won't you do your part!? - Teacher
Your brain doesn't work like other people. - Got this many many times...
You never let me talk.
You always interrupt me when I am talking.
You randomly change the conversation.
You always talk about this and you can't stop.
Remember... other people don't care as much about this as you do. - Teacher referring to a hobby.
You have to get out into society more.
You are smart but you are very lazy. (This offends me.)
You have to improve your hand writing! This is unacceptable!

etc

-You have a weird sense for when bad things are on the verge of happening.
-How many times have you watched this movie? 12? 15?
-Isnt that like the 8th time back to back your reading that book?
-How do you come up with these insane words on Words with Friends?
-Im sick of hearing you say that patterns exist everywhere in the universe.

Never getting to the point. I always have to tell a story. At least my dad always complained about it and called it an Autistic thing.

Are you over 70? That sounds like something old people do. Wait I just saw your age thing. Better get yourself checked out for Progeria.

"Why don't you ever smile?"
"Why do you act like an emotionless robot?"
"You never change your tone of voice."
"Are you nervous?" (in response to my gasping/sighing tic)
"Relax your shoulders." (I've gotten this SOOO much, even when they already feel relaxed and I've tried purposefully to relax them further. O.o)
"Why do you eat so slowly?"
"Why do you do [insert pretty much anything] so slowly?"
"Why are you so quiet?"

One (mean) lady I worked with used to say she was scared of me when we first met, I guess because I was so quiet and looked stern.

My husband says I do everything very methodically, and carefully.

And!! I have always sniffed books, too. So thrilled to learn that some Aspies do that!

Here are some I've gotten (paraphrased):

"You look upset. Are you OK?"
"Eyes over here...look at me."
"Stand up straight; you're always slouching."
"Why are you so quiet?"
"That was kind of rude." (In response to me not reciprocating something properly.)
"You think too much."
"Why are you pacing? What's bothering you?" (Nothing...)
"Stop shaking your leg; people are going to think there's something wrong with you."
"You keep talking about the same thing."
"You need to get out around people more!"
"I can't read your writing."

"I cant believe you said that"- But you asked me if you look like you gained weight. If you didnt wanna know the truth why did you ask??
"Why do you walk that way? You are stiff and never move your hips like a girl does." Response: "I dont know HOW to change the way I walk because I wasnt aware I walked funny!"
"put your mommy on the phone"- I have a high pitched voice. I sound like im 10 yrs old and its worse on the phone. Comes in handy when bill collectors call.

Man, the list is long. Those are the recent.

Bouncing on the spot when I'm excited, plus frantically moving me hands when I talk...there are lots more things that I could say but right now I cannot remember. :)

"Do you need to go to the toilet?" because I'm twitching and shaking my leg.
"Stop frowning" when I'm not even aware that I am.

One of my friends said that I get really excited and constantly scratch my head and clap my hands when I am looking for Dvds in JB Hifi a shop here in Australia now I know why people are looking at me so weird. My friends also tell me that whenever they are over my place I look really stressed, upset and anxious and I am constantly cleaning after them when they are at my place.
