I think I'm more of two then one. Obviously there are exceptions given that I'm a straight male and I think I'm above average IQ wise and while I don't think I'm "stereotypical Aspie"- I don't think I'm a chameleon really either. People meet me and they know there's something different. So I guess I'm 1.7.

Milk chocolate for sure! Preferably in the form of either a maple nut or a Godiva champagne truffle. [any kind EXCEPT for vanilla!] No matter how "cool" all you dark chocolate autistics are, you will never beat us "milkies" in pure, creamy decadence.

"empath - psychology and humanities - low to average iq - female"
really?
:roll:

I would say we could separate between "empath aspies" and "cold aspies" - the last one would be more like the stereotype. But the rest is not based in anything... Also no connection to low or high iq here. If you read about highly gifted people you'll see it's a common trait to be an empath.

Recently some online friend told me that he divided aspies into two types - dumb aspies (those stereotypically presented in movies that are like robots) and cunning ones (like me and hm).

TYPE ONE:

* The "Stereotypical Aspie"
* "Calculator Type"--Math & Science

* Poor LTM, good STM

* more socially impaired.
* less outwardly empathetic.
* more grounded and "down to earth."
* poor ability to communicate through emotional connections and to recognize facial expressions.
* Feels emotions more internally, feels less of them, controls behavior better.
* Actual "Genius"
* Tend to be straight, gay, or nonromantic asexual.

TYPE TWO:

* Chameleon and Multipotentilate (aka "Renaissance Person.")
* "Encyclopedia Type"--Visual/performing arts, humanities, psychology, language
* Low to average IQ and SAT scores
* poor STM, eidetic LTM (almost perfect)
* stims are part of a creative or a thinking process.
* Often "borderline" or NT-seeming
* tend to be female.
* more outward empathy, able to "read" people by emotions & expressions.
* Dreamers & Innovators.
* More prone to meltdowns.
* Perceived "Genius."
* tend to be bisexual, trans, asexual,..

It seems clear to me where my perceived options lead me. Being a dreamer or innovator doesn’t usually lead to being a perceived genius but probably a recognition of a superfluous nature, combined with the supernatural in a cosmic scope.. kinda has its differences. But trying to level out the score based on all individual gender options has me entertained and slightly intrigued.
Maybe a bilateral third eye thinking agenda could spark off a brain wave of recent development.

However I don’t have a transgender analysis as I’m not trans but, I support gender change as it is awful to live with a stigma or dogma attached,thus my name plays its role here.

I just read this entire thread and thought it was quite funny!
I agree with what everyone has already mentioned- basically aspies come in all sorts of flavors, although I agree that sometimes it seems like aspies can fall broadly into some sort of groups.
And to reiterate:
Female + low IQ is BS.
Are we forgetting That autism in general is associated with learning disabilities and low IQ and also maleness? Whereas aspergers is associated with average to high IQ and ALSO IS ASSOCIATED with maleness i.e. Ur statement seems bunk and is highly suspect.
I could say a lot more but I really just wanted to mentioned that both of those things are associated with different IQs...
All you did was spell out hackneyed gender stereotypes and called them "different types of Aspie/Autie".

I think there are two types of Aspies
1. Those that are aware/sensitive to the fact that they are socially awkward and don't fit in
2. Those that are oblivious

I wish I was the second type...

I know I am definitely type 2, although I don't have all the points listed.

Quote:
* Chameleon and Multipotentilate (aka "Renaissance Person.")

I don't really know what that means.

Quote:
* "Encyclopedia Type"--Visual/performing arts, humanities, psychology, language

Hmm, don't know if ''encyclopedia type'' means anything to me, although I have a good understanding of psychology. But I like drawing and writing and doing other creative activities. I find learning other languages extremely difficult.

Quote:
* Low to average IQ and SAT scores

I didn't do too well intellectually in school, but I think it was due to attention problems, although I sucked at maths, science and technology.

Quote:
* poor STM, eidetic LTM (almost perfect)

I don't know what this means.

Quote:
* stims are part of a creative or a thinking process.

Maybe. I don't stim in a typical Autistic way, I stim more subtly, like inside my head, stuff like that.

Quote:
* Often "borderline" or NT-seeming

Definitely me.

Quote:
* tend to be female.

Yes I am female.

Quote:
* more outward empathy, able to "read" people by emotions & expressions.

This is me naturally.

Quote:
* Dreamers & Innovators.

Sometimes.

Quote:
* More prone to meltdowns.

I used to have outbursts caused by overwhelming emotions, until I went on Sertraline.

Quote:
* Perceived "Genius."

Not genius in any way.

Quote:
* tend to be bisexual, trans, asexual,..

I'm only heterosexual, and in a healthy relationship.

Type one describes me accurately but I do have melt downs but they are not so obvious. I also am very innovative but in a logic not artistic way.

Can there be a male type 2? I think I'm an example of said. I tend to prefer language over maths. My academic performance is mediocre at best. I am by no means a genius yet people sometimes mistake me for one. I sometimes invoke this misconception intentionally. I used my proclivity for verbosity to make NTs think I'm a genius. However, I'm no genius. My grasp of mathematics end with basic trig. I can't handle algebra and I don't know the first thing about calculus.

I think I have met others like me. Type 2 aspies, both male and female. Some come across like a genius. Some or charming or charismatic and some base their persona around a specific subculture. I know a lot of aspies in meatspace, fitting both types.
