In addition, it was purposefully intended to be one sided.

It's important to remember that when the latter party addresses the former party, even in an act as simple as holding a door, then both parties are now involved in communication, regardless of whether or not this communication is desired by the latter party. But this, of course, if part of life. It's impossible to go about and totally avoid any form of communication from others 100% of the time regardless of what one wants. And, essentially, it means no act of communication can ever be one-sided.

It was an example used for discussional purposes, and I'm not even the one who first introduced it.

In the future, please refrain from making outward personal assumptions when discussing abstract theory of thought analysis. It is both unneeded and detrimental to your credibility. I am not the only one here who has felt a predatory vibe in your posts, regardless of what your intent may be. I would advise you to be conscientious of your writing tone if you wish to be included in this discussion going forward.

Though you may guise this as trying to offer me constructive advice, your tone comes across to me as pseudo-philosophical ego stroking, and the term "riding a high horse" comes to mind. Like in the real world, my 'tone' is a problem, and how it makes you feel is more important than my intent. Fascinating.

I'll bow out of this thread, but let me inform you, and now I'll get a bit predatory, you have
no business telling me or anyone else if they can/can't participate in a discussion. And you
have no place speaking on behalf of others.

For me I do like to socialize to a point or at times I feel like "Why so much socializing and enough already." (This is in response to others at work who to me are socializing excessively and I am happy just to do my job and I am unable to fathom the need for all the talking and visiting).

For my personally, I would like to visit at lunch time or after work. I realize that co-workers need to get along and everything and that is great, but I do not see the need for excessive visiting. I am often happy to just let others visit a lot and I do feel left out or that I am may be seen as not as friendly as the talkative and "like to visit a lot" co-workers. (This is just me anyway).

I would be content to sit in a quiet office with maybe classical music on and get my work done to my heart's content and then at lunch meet a friend and visit and socialize some. Plus at work I like to talk on the phone and almost prefer it since it is more comfortable than face to face communicating (it is strange to me, but it is and once I talk on the phone routinely at work I feel pretty comfortable doing it). In the past had jobs where I routinely called clients on the phone as part of my job and I grew accustomed to it and even pretty much liked it.

My dream job awaits me somewhere I hope. For now I am doing my best in my present employment.

Ouch yes this happened to me in junior high and even as an adult.

I think they don't like us for every reason we sometimes don't like NT people. We are way different from one another and it gets frustrating that we can't understand each other. But that's just one theory from my personal experiences.

I agree with this.

I'll also like to add that people like to make fun of those that are outside the norm.

To them I'm a nerd or a geek and I'm a perfect target for teasing because that's just not cool to them. However to me it is cool.

We're probably even more of a target because of what people think of when they hear we are autistic. Either you'll be given pity or they'll simply say LOL, because to them we're below them.

Man, socialising is hard.
