You look so happy with the horses. It warms my eyes.

Thankyou both... the horses belong to a friend I once had locally through my own forum...she took me to see them and it was the first time since I was a child that I had had the chance to be close to horses again..needless to say, I loved it, there is something special about horses and they just came over to me when we went in the field. One of them kept nudging my hand to be petted.

I've noticed that some people have that too! I think it's a gift, my love.


BUT. Here's my photo from about two months ago. Before I cut my bangs and coloured my hair darker. I don't look very threatening.

You'd be threatening to me. I'd skitter away from anything that pretty that approached me. I'd figure it was out for my soul (or worse)

Wow! children have always loved me too! Even when I was a child, babies in stores would pick me out of the crowd to smile and wave at. I've also had children come up to me and tell me I'm pretty. It's almost surreal. Once a little girl ran up to me and asked if I was Dakota Fanning. (I'm about 10 years her senior). That was wierd. I always thought children were drawn to me because of my brightly colored clothes, but after reading others' experiences, maybe they sense something more. Anyway, I like it cause I love kids.

I have the wild-eyed spooky thing about me sometimes too. I startle very easily, but even when I'm not startled, my eyes will often get huge and staring.

It seems that people my own age don't approach me very often though. I must give out some sort of 'don't bother me' vibe, although usually I'm simply just thinking about something and don't notice people or how I'm coming across.

Adults know to stay away from the scary mesmerizing piper. Children (and animals) are fascinated. Though, I have to say, some animals really fear me. Dogs often. I've always been saddened that Birds won't just land on me. My wife had a chickadee land on her hand and eat, and my 'crazy' aunt had a pet crow, but it was a wild one which just came to visit, and would ride around on her shoulder. I would love that. It might make up for a lot.
