I like being able to learn from things and books, without having to find someone to ask. I can fix or build almost anything I can afford time for, physics and current engineering permitting. Sometimes, this turns up superior methods.

Same with me. I do have positive things about me. They just can't be attributed to any disorders.

I like how I don't feel the need to be around people a lot. I also like being able to delve into interests and learn very fast if the subject fascinates me. However, I hate obsessing to the point to where it is impossible to get my mind onto another subject which also greatly diminishes my social chit-chat options. It's all a give and take.

Depending on the stimuli, sensory input can, often, have a most pleasurable effect on me.

I really really love the Big Bang Theory and I know a lot about it. My friends get impressed when I am able to answer even the most obscure trivia questions about it without even thinking. So I am pretty proud of that.
I am also good at logic and noticing patterns in things. I am really good at word searches and things like that because the words just pop out at me. I am really good at logic as well and I always used to think that everyone around me was just really stupid because things were not as obvious to them as they were to me, but I have come to realize that my hyper-logical mind is a trait that goes along with my autism and because of that, most other people do not think like me.

OK, In what episode did Howard make a major engineering error and not get corrected by Sheldon?

I think one positive autiam trait for me is that my brain is always soaking up new facts and information like a sponge. I love learning about things.

But people love to attribute random stuff to whatever disorder they think I have.

Obsessive relentless determination.

This ^^^^ And art and being able to become competent at something if I develop a deep interest in it even if there are deficits. Also I may have some super recogniser traits, although I may not put it down to ASD but it's possible that my brain being wired for detail is what helps. Hyper Focus being able to do something non stop for days or weeks at a time. Oh and detail.

Haha I was just telling my bro this morning that I am possibly a super recogniser, worst super power ever  I have found that I am incredibly determined and will keep persisting well beyond what makes most people rage quit. I get in the zone, get tunnel vision and nothing will stop me

There are lots of tests online you can take. I've did around 12 from Greenwich and Bournemouth university's. Scored high in most. It's baffling as it seems I'm only good at this with films,tv shows as I'm oblivious to most things when I'm in the real world. Possibly due to anxiety, sensory overload, eye contact. Saying that I have noticed people who I have spent some time around many years later in circumstances where they have been obscured facially. Yet I knew who they were. So my super powers if I was a superhero would art man and possibly super recogniser man! :0D worst superhero ever.

I noticed a guy at the train station that I hadn't seen for like half a decade and someone linked me a university web page, I think it was that one. I scored on the lower end of the 'you're f**king legit' quartile, we should get matching capes :P
A few people have mentioned pattern recognition. I remember in early years of high school, we had these colour in puzzles where the image was obscured with lines. I was crazy good and recognising what the image was, like within seconds of seeing the page

How do you know me? Because I'm the same exact way. But everyone else I know like family or kids at school most of the time don't and I don't understand why. It's pretty oblivious.
