I thought I was one of the only ones. When people talk about not understanding sarcasm, I've never connected with that. The only things I can't understand are dirty jokes and it's probably because I was sheltered.

well that's the thing....i really don't think either of them are.

it all comes down to characteristics and traits. maybe there there is a shred of truth, though you'd have to ask yourself what "better" really MEANS.

more apt for survival? able to satisfy yourself or others? fitting in?



it might be the response that comes from being mistreated one's whole life.

that doesn't make it right, of course, but i can understand where some of the "us vs them" mentality comes from. you've finally discovered what has been making you so different from the others, and it's a huge moment of realization and clarity for some.

turns out, there's also a label that applies to those others.

Some NTs think they are superior to AS people. Some AS people think they are superior to NTs. How can both be right? Both cannot be right, if someone says that 1+1=2 and another person says that 1+1=5, both cannot be right.
I never said that any particular aspie is superior to any particular NT. I said that if you are an aspie it is more likely that you have those superior traits. I agree that "superior" is a difficult thing to define. However, it might be human centrism but I think I am superior to an ant. It may be aspie centrism to say that aspies are more likely to have the "superior" traits of creativity etc, but its based on empirical data.
I never advocated being mean to NTs. Some are superior to me. I am only saying that we should recognize that many NTs have cognitive difficulties and adapt to their world. And NTs do dominate the world.

can you deliver a sting to an organism thousands of times your size, potent enough to give the colossus "waves of burning, throbbing, all-consuming pain that continues unabated for up to 24 hours" ???

can you run 800 times your body length a minute, WHILE AT THE SAME TIME carrying 20 times your body weight?

the answer to that is....maybe. i don't know you. but i think all organisms are worthy of appreciation, and there's definitely something to be said for the less sapient among us.

it's hard for me to believe that something as ill defined and murky as "creativity" can be empirically quantified.
