I never find these things easy to answer, because there are so many circumstances which would cause me to make totally different choices - it's always dependent.
Actually, I once got INTP on another test. I guess I'm right in between INTJ and INTP.
I believe some questions can be biased on this test thought, such as :
You know how to put every minute of your time to good purpose I do know it very well, but I'd rather do things I enjoy. Enjoying myself could also be considered a good purpose anyway...
You tend to rely on your experience rather than on theoretical alternatives Theoretical alternatives usually come up from experience. So how do I choose?
You are more inclined to experiment than to follow familiar approaches Well that really depends which activity is involved, and what good I believe each approach can bring.
The process of searching for solution is more important to you than the solution itself What does that mean anyway? I do feel more enjoyment thinking about a solution than bragging about it, but the point is still reaching a certain solution.
When solving a problem you would rather follow a familiar approach than seek a new one That just depends which approach brings the best solution. I have no problem developping unconventionnal ways of thinking, but whats the point when a familiar approach is just as good?
When considering a situation you pay more attention to the current situation and less to a possible sequence of events Then again, what does that mean? That just really depends on the situation itself.
Over the past 5 years, I've twice been INFP, twice INTP. There is never any doubt as to the I, N and P, but I seem to hover 50/50 between thinking/feeling. If asked, I tend to stick with INFP because the verbal description feels more accurate. If I recall, there was an INXP category for those like me.

This is quite interesting and certainly seems accurate to me. I have always adored Jimmy Carter and think Mary Baker Eddy was absolutely brilliant and so far ahead of her time.
Just like me.
Simmyymmis, your avatar is absolutely brilliant. I love it. ( sorry for going off topic)

It would be interesting to map this against global statistics.
I know, for example, that INFP represents a tiny minority of global statistics - about 1%. Yet here, thus far, we have 6%, which is statistically significant.

Oh no, I'm in the majority! This isn't supposed to happen, considering I took a test yesterday that said Outsider Genius. Conflicting results! Madness, I tell you. I'm an outsider in the majority.
