#1 reason why I don't tell people
That is the best part! You get to educate them without the yackity-yack from commentariat.

Good, yes. Not perfect, but good.. hell, my life is Fantastic compared to the living hell it was 6 years ago. It’s not without its problems, though.
Mmhmm, I don’t think anyone would argue that letting people screw you is good, though.
I’m still autistic and have my eccentricities - they’re just.. usually a little more subtle vs pronounced & I prefer it that way since I can integrate into the rest of the world better. And it’s fluid and natural, not forced.
I don’t “force,” myself to go to parties. I go to a few major parties a year now because I want to & enjoy them. I’ve never suggested it ought to be everyone’s goal to go to huge parties, but it sure is nice to be able to vs feeling socially anxious, depressed, or having audio/light sensitivities prevent me from being able to enjoy that environment. Sucks being on the sidelines all the time out of necessity, it’s another thing entirely to be able to attend and simply not feel like it.
Same same with friends. Totally cool if one Wants to fly solo as a lone wolf enjoying their solitude vs hanging out with friends often, but it’s truly very nice to be able to make and maintain friendships.
Have I ever said that? Have I ever said I’m “the best-looking?” No. To the contrary, EzraS asked me to post a video of myself and I declined because I’m Not a model/actor/good looking person. I’m physically fit & that makes up for a lot. Some compliment my eyes and teeth. But that doesn’t change the fact that I’m a 36yo man with a receding hairline and what hair remains is rapidly turning grey. It doesn’t change that I have stretch marks from both being fat and building muscle. (very inelastic skin) And it most certainly doesn’t change the fat that my skin has been permanent disfigured by a 18 year long medical misdiagnosis that was diagnosed and treated as a few different things over the years besides what it actually was. The only saving grace to that situation is that my skin tans well in the Sun and scars will eventually fade a bit. Oh, and everyone looks good in the dark, I suppose. The only other beneficial take away from that experience is that I learned the very hard way that sometimes when treatments don’t work, it’s because the diagnosis is wrong. I’d rather learn that lesson on myself and have the scars from it than make that mistake with someone else in the distant future. Is what it is, all I can do is smoke weed about it.
Still autistic and not relationship material. Also, FYI, I Never hit the gym. I did for about 4 months around 15 years ago. I do push-ups for 2 minutes a day, hike the ~480 stairs at the beach, go for runs here and there, work a physical job, do a very little bit of yoga, and eat a healthy diet. I don’t like lifting weights or being in gym environments. Ever.
You don’t complain. But people who complain about their status quo ought to take action to change it for the better. IMO YMMV.
Only they can think less of themselves. If they’re in terrible physical and or mental health, they’re justified in thinking less of themselves and acknowldging that they have plenty of room for improvement. IMO YMMV.

Uh, yeah, for sure. Except I never said that, ever.
As for rectal use of probiotics - what’s so strange about using probiotics at the other end of the digestive tract?
Further to that, probiotics are used in other orifices. Just ask any woman who’s had a vaginal yeast infection. Some have to insert probiotics to help kill it off and rebalance the bacterial organisms in their vaginas. That’s why probiotic suppositories exist - for a vaginal use.

I was attempting to inject a little humor via satire. And it was meant as a parody of your detractors. Ignaz Semmelweis sent me a PM saying "ha ha very funny".
I don't like hanging out in a church saying the same things for hours.....
They have a tendency to do that. And then I finally tell them, "okay okay I got the point 30 fcuking minutes ago".
But I don't say it out loud.
My reason why I would never tell that I'm in the spectrum is Pride first and foremost.
In fact, pride had been mostly my reason for other things -- from letting people see me differently AND not-so-differently at the same time for different reasons.
It had always been, whether I've known I'm in the spectrum or not.
Even before I realized I was different from other kids, it's always been pride.
Even before I learned what compliments are even for, what concept of reputation was, and knowing of not liking them.
No one told me to be 'brave and strong'
I just don't like showing tears whenever I scrape my knee. No one told me NOT to shed any tears -- instead, they told me it's OK to cry out loud, it's OK to be afraid or scared, and it's OK to say it's no good -- I chose not to, and I likely don't feel like doing it. But the choice remains open to me whether or not I express distress.
If not, it's that I don't understand why I must fuss about it when it could heal.
But the bottom line is that; no pity parties, no victimization, no holding my hand, no kid gloves to use at me, no patronization, no obligatory rescues, no ignorant opinions about the spectrum all because of that I do or do not do, and most of all, no worries about me -- worried enough to suffocate me into a 'safer place'.

The main reason to why I don't tell people about my asperger-diagnosis is the fact that there is a high chance that they won't understand the diagnosis and how it applies to me. Secondly, there is a matter of integrity and I don't feel like explaining the social difficulties related to the diagnosis. That's both sensitive and not in my favour usually.
