I don't know about DSM 5, but, at least in DSM 4, there is "schizoaffective DISORDER", but there is no such thing as "schizoaffective PERSONALITY disorder". I don't know where I got the word "personality" from either. Maybe my buddy uttered the word. But he was off his meds when I had the conversation, and he was spouting all kinds of crazy stuff. Or maybe he just said " No silly! I am skitzo affective" . And I guess I had to unconsciously stick a noun at the end of the sentence because "schzoaffective" is an adjective that needs something to modify.

The point is that...that is his label. "schizoaffective". Disorder, or condition, or whatevertheheck it is! Lol!

Okay.

Schizoaffective disorder. That's what he has. :)

What practical difference does it make to be classified as being "this" or being "that"? We are who we are and a classification (HFA/ASD/Asperger's) is not going to change that.
