Out of 72 faces, you correctly identified 67.
In other words, you got 93% correct.

I sometimes feel as if I have a sort of photographic memory... I remember faces, places, most of the stuff I've seen. But trying to memorize something that I've read; that's another thing. I can remember what does the page in the book look like, were in the page is that information etc..., but can't remember what does the text say

Not bad, I guess. The first part was really easy, and it just got harder from there. The ones with all the noise were just hard to look at and really threw me off, but I don't know if that means I did any worse on them. Most of the time, I was just picking anything that looked vaguely familiar because I couldn't remember.
Also, I'm sure this test is much easier than real-life situations. Since I knew it was my task to identify the faces, I made a special effort to remember distinctive features. In one case, I was able to identify a face only because the corners of his jaw pointed down - this was the trait I had decided to refer to when I was presented with the face. The rest of the face had simply left my memory.
In the real world, I don't do this. I just automatically recognize friends' and relatives' faces, because I'm used to seeing them. But I always mix up people I don't know well.

Out of 72 faces, you correctly identified 35.
In other words, you got 49% correct.

I think I should have done very well at this test because I have a good eye for detail but It felt like I knew I was ignoring the nose and mouth. Plus does anyone know why this test gives me a headache, this always happens when I go outside to places that are filled with people and gets hyped when I enter noisy places. I end up spinning around sometimes...

79% correct, I do sometimes have trouble reminding faces, but I guess it's not that big of a deal.

Out of 72 faces, you correctly identified 72.
In other words, you got 100% correct.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
On our previous version of this test, the average person with normal face recognition was able to recognize about 80% of the faces. If you correctly identified less than 65% of the faces, this may indicate face recognition difficulties.

hmmm. i thought i would be average... i didn't think i recognized them while i was taking it so i am suprised i got 100%. i found the 2nd half with the static to be MUCH easier than the first and i was conscious of getting those ones correct. weird... WHAT DOES IT ALL MEAN!!???
lol.

I also agree, though there were some that were more pleasent than others. Some of the time I found myself choosing the ones that looked the least threathening.

Now over to me:

Out of 72 faces, you correctly identified 44.
In other words, you got 61% correct.

Out of 30 faces, you correctly identified 12.
You were familiar with 21 of the people in this test.

If we exclude the ones you were unfamiliar with, you got 57% correct.

The 2nd result is for recognition of celebreties. I think I use things like hair, body and to some extent clothing to identify people. I thing that I think indicate that this is correct is that I got a lower scoer on the celebrety test because their hair was edited out.

I also have a story on this topic from my life:

I sat on the bus one day staring into space as usualy when suddenly 2 breasts pops into my view. Not beeing displeased with this I keep looking, and after a few seconds I identify them as belonging to X. Now most people would probably have looked at her face (although this was not possible since she was not facing me), but I look at the rest of her body, I couldn't look at the hisr since she changes hairstyle far too often, and soon I'm sure it is her. And I was right.

Can anyone else of you think of methods you use for identifying people besides face?

I got an 86% on it but like some others on here, I think it makes a difference that they are pictures on a screen and not in real life. I tended to look at their eyebrows and chins more than anything else.

In real life, I don't look people in the face for the most part or if I do, I look only briefly so they see that I'm acknowledging them and then look away. Sometimes I can't even recall what hair color a person has.

That scored a bit better than I thought. I think that is because I did the test before or just blind luck. From memory the last test I correctly identified 40.
I had a fair idea with the groups of three but absolutely no idea with the groups of six. They were just a stab in the dark.

There are a few tests on that site such as this test
This is a test I repeated from the same test I had done earlier several times about four months ago.
I scored much worse faces back then, about 52% on my first try, but far better with objects and names but after several attempts four months ago I got the score up to 80% for faces which was still below average, because I know many people who score greater than 90% on their first attempt.
This last test it was 70% for faces and 100% for objects and names.

Here is a breakdown of your scores on these tests. If you have a percentile rank of less than 2 on any of these tests, you may have difficulties with that type of recognition memory. If you are uncertain what any of this feedback means, move your mouse over the links below for more information.

What is a percentile rank?
What does it mean if my percentile rank is 2 or less?
I have difficulties with one or more kinds of recognition memory. Why did I score normally?
Why does the face recognition test only include female faces?
Is it possible I just can't recognize Caucasian faces?

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Face Recognition Memory
In the face recognition test, you were asked to learn the faces of 10 women. When you were tested on these faces, you had to indicate whether a face on the screen was one you learned or one that you hadn't seen before.

Out of 20 familiar faces, you correctly responded that you had seen 13 faces before.

Out of 30 unfamiliar faces, you correctly responded that you had NOT seen 22 faces before.

Overall, you got 70% correct! The average score on this test is 85% correct. Your percentile rank on this test was 4.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Object Recognition Memory
In the object recognition test, you were asked to memorize 10 images of eyeglasses. When you were tested on these eyeglasses, you had to indicate whether a pair of eyeglasses on the screen was one you learned or one that you hadn't seen before.

Out of 20 familiar eyeglasses, you correctly responded that you had seen 20 eyeglasses before.

Out of 30 unfamiliar eyeglasses, you correctly responded that you had NOT seen 30 eyeglasses before.

Overall, you got 100% correct! The average score on this test is 86% correct. Your percentile rank on this test was 95.
