I feel stuck at 16-17. My early 20s were in some ways as boring and depressing as those of a very old man; they also passed by too fast with no friendships, no parties and too many disappointments. In other ways I feel bound back to when I was 3-4 years old - I think I must have enjoyed some happiness back then.

Oh, my goodness, yes! I'm 45, but I still feel about 16-18. I love punk rock music, I love going to gigs, I understand the humour, I dress more like a teenager than I do appropriate for my age - and my children (who are the age I feel) think it's great, bless them! I have a really good relationship with them, maybe because I can empathise, and they always insist on me going with them to concerts - in fact my son has just bought me tickets to a gig he wants to go to as a birthday present. Sometimes when I'm standing in line waiting to get in I forget that I'm old enough to be most of the audience's mother - then I realise, and I have a moment of, "God, what must I look like?" - but it soon passes.

This is just like me! 8O I'm in my forties too, but I feel around 17-19.
I am into rock bands and go to gigs and music festivals with my 20 year old son (also AS) and my NT 15 year old daughter.
I can relate to my teenage NT children too, I feel on the same level and we are into the same things.
I have had that "God what must I look like" moment too, but then I think well I could be doing ghastly boring stuff that my age group are normally doing, then I don't feel so bad! :)

:D

What a shame we live at opposite ends of the world!
