of the US population:
INTJ 2.1%
INTP 3.3%

Wow, this is fascinating. Maybe we aren't autistic, maybe we are just INT_! OR being on the spectrum tends to put us in those categories. OR INT_s tend to use and contribute to sites and/or posts like this more than other personality types.

Extreme INTP here. I think it's the reason I have so much trouble relating to people. Most people's personalities bore me to death.

INTJ.

Personality types have been a special interest of mine on and off for at least 10 years although I never really got into some of the detailed aspects of each of the types; i.e., Introverted Sensing, Extroverted iNtuition, etc. etc. It didn't seem that important to me. It was fun observing people at work and guessing their type. :)

David Keirsey has a pretty good FAQ here:

http://www.keirsey.com/faq.aspx

It's generally acknowledged that these type quizzes are only about 75% accurate. It's a good idea to read the descriptions of your type, and related types, to see if you think it fits. Generally you'll recognize the one that is right.

I found related but opposite threads on some INTJ and INTP forums about the Aspie Quiz because so many of these types test aspie. Needless to say there was a lot of skepticism (or maybe denial) on those forums. I had one person tell me that if you had Asperger's you wouldn't be functional enough to participate in a forum like this. About 1/2 the INTJs and INTPs scored NT on the Aspie quiz so it is possible to be those types and not be an aspie.

Clearly there is a strong correlation between AS and certain personality types but yet some aspies test as types you wouldn't expect. I'm thinking about this but am unable to reconcile it at this time. :? Maybe the light bulb will go on one of these days.

INFP - F & P were just over the 50% point in their respective favors. Although I wonder how much conditioned response comes into play... my own experience, being undiagnosed, is one that is mild but pervasive in coping with social situations, most specifically with unfamiliar people and places or unexpected events and changes... one that has allowed me to flourish in some realms while being wildly deficient in other aspects, the ultimately resulting in frustration and depression.

This is crazy. I tried the test again and was more loose with my answers and still got INTJ! I guess i'll try being one and see what happens. 8O

I to the N to the T to the J. Just like a lot of people around here!

Meyers-Briggs Statistics site says 3.3% of men are INTJ, overall 2.1%, we are lopsided to men, but still over eight times the expected value!

What interests me even more is that more than 6 out of 10 polled are from three of sixteen groups - the next two most common are INTP and ISTJ. This points to a positive correlation between Asperger's Syndrome and the indicators for "I" and "T". There are more INTJs than all eight "F" types combined, and all of the top five are "I" types with a higher count than the eight "E" types combined.

Aspies aren't normals. Thank goodness.

ENFJ - I've taken the test twice and gotten the same thing both times. I'm a big time J and only just barely an E. It depends on my mood.

INTJ ... Aren't I original? (I'm female)

The description sounds a lot like me, too.

Definitely INFJ here.

I have taken this test in various forms over the years and have scored about the same all that time. 9/10 for both the I and the J. 8/10 for N, and a 6/10 for the F.

I'm ISTP.

In this other one I am INTJ.

Your personality type is INTJ.

Introverted (I) 89% Extraverted (E) 11%
Intuitive (N) 59% Sensing (S) 41%
Thinking (T) 70% Feeling (F) 30%

What do all the other abbreviations stand for?
