About one year ago my brother noticed that I often listened to the same piece of music over and over and over again, often for hours at a time. I had been playing in my room a track by Infected Mushroom for nearly three hours when he opened my door and asked why I kept listening to the same thing over and over again. I didn't know how to respond; I thought everyone did this, that it was completely normal.

Does anyone here behave similarly?

Sounds a lot like me! I do this, and I enjoy it whether others think I'm weird or not. :)

If it's something I really like, then yes.

Yes. All of the time. The most extreme example is with my all-time favorite song, "Saying Goodbye to Those You So Love" by James Horner, track #12 from A Beautiful Mind's soundtrack. I'm listening to it now, in fact. I consistently listen to this song over and over for 2-3 hours straight. And when I'm listening to it on the computer and can play back my favorite part, it's even more obsessive, because I only play the last three minutes, that same chunk of music, over and over again.

I find Horner's music to be generally mediocre, but the score to A Beautiful Mind I like very much. I often repeat track four, Creating Governing Dynamics.
