When you were young, what did you want to be when u grow up?

When I was little I would've told you I wanted to be a doctor. Today I will tell you I want to be a pediatric neurologist. Much has changed. :P

In the end the teacher gave me a suggestion and i went with it, i drew a picture of me Skydiving. Now to this day, the only dream i DO have, is my unrelentless need to go skydiving. (Funny thing is, this work was a drawing contest for the whole province i believe, and i somehow managed to win, i won a Tshirt and something else i forget)


Im now 23, i live by myself, and Ive had many many jobs ranging from computers, to woodworking, to a lot of other things, and even now, i don't have any ambition, i don't know what i want to do mainly cause Ive never really wanted to do anything.


Can anybody shed some light on this for me?


I seemed to often have that problem. I didn't know where to start with work, or I felt a question was too broad and I did not know how to approach it. Or if it was asking what are your hobbies, I felt embarrassed that I really wasn't into much, and the things I was into were too "geeky" so I was too afraid to write them down. So the teachers interpreted that as me not wanting to do my work.
But anyways to asnwer the question, I was always really into computers, even as a kid, but in terms of "what I wanted to be when I grew up" as a kid it was movie making. Then through middleschool and half of highschool it was to be a game designer. Now its to be realistic, what ever job I can get that I can stay in long enough (problems interfacing with the public).

Well my special interest between the ages of 4 to about 8, was the planets, so I remember saying back then I wanted to be a planetary scientist.
My biggest ambition which I've never given up (I still wish I could do it to this day, but I don't think I can anymore) is to become an airline pilot (because I'm mad about aircraft) :-D

Then when I was 11/12, my special interest became 'Australia', and I said I was going to become a geologist and emigrate to Australia to do my work out there.

Right now, my ambition is to become a legal academic.
