Right now I'm into rewatching old LOST episodes and taking notes on them. Also a new one, learning to crochet. Then there's drawing floorplans of geodesic dome homes and collecting pictures of houses decorated the way I like.

Unfortunately, one of my obsessions right now is my weight. I need to lose at least ten pounds.

That sounds like something I've been interested it. It started out with just an interest in psychology and neurology, but now I'm more interested in disorders and movies that have people with disorders in them. I'm also very interested in WWII, probably because of my brother or just because I have different interests.

Current Obsessions:

Dr. House
The Big Bang Theory (tv show)
Programming (computers would always be on the list, but the specific subject varies)
Statistics and probability
Quantum Physics (on a more general level)

Once the next season of 24 comes out on DVD, I'll be spending a few days watching them all and accomplishing nothing.

I completely understand. It's a sucky obsession, I had to put up with it all last year even though I had a healthy BMI.

You know, I have never seen Nightmare before Christmas but I have heard it was good. Perhaps it isn't one of those movies that tickles my fancy. Though there is a movie that I came across called "Nightmare Detective" that I want to check out. I suppose it's a cross of Freddy Krueger meets Dexter meets Law & Order type thing.

As my two main lifelong obsessions are movies and music...

In the movies area, my current obsession is Anthony Mann's movies, including his classic westerns with James Stewart (5 movies), his westerns without James Stewart (I enjoyed 'The Furies' the most with Walter Huston in his last movie and Barbara Stanwyck as his daughter), and classic westerns in general by other directors. I'm looking at you, John Ford.

In the music area, right now it's Sparks. This town ain't big enough for both of us.

After hearing a bit about twilight, the only thing I can find I don't like about it is that it butchers the idea of what a vampire is. And no, I do not see a vampire as what dracula is, I see it more like how bethesda describes them in elder scrolls 4 oblivion, where it is a person who suffers from a disease call porphyic hemophilia, and that prolongs their life, makes them stronger, and if they do not keep themselves feed with the blood of others, they develope fairly bad weaknesses to things like sunlight and silver. None of the weakness to crosses and stakes tho, that's just stupid.

My two current obsessions are Second Life and digging up any info about AS I can find.
