Set of scientific tests related to Autism Spectrum Disorders

scientists really don't know the exact causes of Autism spectrum disorder (ASD) but the research by them suggests that both the genes and environment are playing roles for such cause of disease.
some of the major factors are:-
1) genetic factors
2) environmental factors
The signs and symptoms of ASD are:-
1) social impairment
2) repetitive and stereotyped behaviors.

I don´t now what the numbers in RITVO-R stands for. I´m a female, but my scores are allways in between and closer to male average, than female. How are the values set in that test and how should they be read? What do they mean?

Of the self tests I've done, I'm most impressed with RAADS-R.
I was least impressed with ADOS (administered by a clinical psychologist). It may be OK for kids, but not adults (even though it correctly identified me as on the spectrum).

None of these tests are scientific. A scientific test is to do a medical test based on medical science. Why is Autism speaks focusing on research for a cure when there isn't even a medical test to detect it medically. Shouldn't they see what it is medically before they try to cure it?

Would a medical test to test for Autism open pandora's box and cause abortions to happen in utero?


If a medical test will show we are genetically the same, then we should have our human rights.

If a medical test will show we are genetically different, why shouldn't it be the majority that is genetically flawed and it is the minority that is not flawed.

The previous two statements begin with an "if". Its got to be one or the other. Unless anyone can suggest a third statement.

I guess I’ll get my daughter to take these two. She attends a school for children with autism (the Rebbeca School in Manhattaan) but she hardly seems to be any different from the other kids. I feel that she’s quite perceptive; a quality said to be non-existent in people with autism.

I scored 42 on the AQ and 30 on the EIQ.
Is it so different from the NT average?
How serious do you take this tests? I never heard about the second one before (and I guess that my result on the AQ is primed by the fact that I'm under pressure for final deadlines at university)

Online tests should never be taken serious. Some of them could give a hint, but the problem is, that it is one self and not a professional, that is doing it.
