Thank you millie and crassus :) Anywhere else, provoking thought is what I'm hated for.

Sallamandrina, that's my own experience with forums too. I think group participation and survival in a group must be the most difficult thing for an Aspie, at least one like me... The nonverbal interplay of a specific group's pecking order is hell for me to understand. We're fortunate it's not like that on WP.

The weird thing on a forum for me is on day 1 I can be hated and flamed but eventually I become like a regular poster.
I can be at the most offensive forums but I can mold myself to speak like the posters that have been at the forum for years in a way that doesn't look fake. I started at this one forum that was known for its brutality to newbie posters, but I'm one of them now. Even if I don't pick on people like they do. There's this poor 14 year old kid that they tear apart.
I just find that weird. And it's happened so many times. It's like I have a gift or at least a form of echololia.

I've never been banned, but I've had many warnings mostly concerning my apparently unusual sense of humour. (is it wrong to laugh and applaud someone when that person fakes his own death and fools an entire forum?)

that is why WP is not full of herbal viagra ads or shoe ads or spam. It's a good rule and it works.
