As much as I loathe Glee, Sue Sylvester isn't supposed to be nice. She's the main villain.

The real reason why I can't stand Glee is because the music is terrible and coverage of the show and its cast is inescapable. I can't believe Party Down and Dollhouse got cancelled and Glee is still on the air. Also, Ryan Murphy is a total douchebag.

I love the lyrics to the song "don't stop"

" just a small town boy born and raised in south detroit, he took the midnight train going anywhere...."

I've never watched Glee....I find the concept banal and insulting, but I agree with this assessment.

The "glee club" is a group of misfits...the losers in popular culture who basically overcome the evil "trendy" crowd in every episode.

The personalities of the characters are so over exagerated so that the most brain-dead viewer can easily root for the "good guys."

This is it exactly.
It's not exactly here for intellectual stimulation.

Okay, I can't stand Glee, but do you really think the show is out to attack special needs kids? Cruella de Vil tries to kill puppies, but no one complains.

Look, who cares if somebody says something offensive? I really don't understand everybody's problem. You want to to call me a ret*d? Call me a ret*d then, no skin off my back. Why does everyone care? Nothing in life matters, and the sooner everyone realizes that, the better.

Waah, someone's making fun of me, that hurts my feelings. Grow up. Sticks and stones, right?

It's criticism. All art is subject to it. If you can't cope with that fact, maybe you should spend less time reading and complaining about it.

I watched an episode once with my friend, who calls herself a Gleek. At first I liked it, but in retrospect, I don't find it favorable as far as entertainment goes. One of the characters sings "Gives you hell" and she has a good voice, but she doesn't do the best job. I saw

Gay kid - Check (not just a gay kid, but the the type that acts like a really annoying 13 year old girl.)

I understand Freak-Z's opinion about the gay kid. I'm gay, but I don't act like that.

The covers don't do justice for their songs, except for Jessie's Girl. That one wasn't so bad, as far as Glee goes.

I wasn't talking about criticism of the show at all. In fact, I started off by saying that I don't like the show, ergo I obviously don't care about what people have to say about it. I just disagree with the idea that the creators are out to hurt the feelings of the mentally handicapped.

The point I was trying to make was that everyone needs to stop getting offended at everything. If you stop acting like things offend you, people will stop offending you. Most people will not make fun of people they don't get a reaction from. This is what we all must do. If a bully makes fun of a kid in the park and the kid ignores him, the bully will probably go away. Now, sure, the bully could go and bother someone else; but if everyone joins in with the kid getting bullied, and shuns the bully, the bully will rationalize that his behavior is unacceptable and assimilate with the others. If he doesn't, he will eventually fail in life and we won't have to worry about him anyway.

Who could possibly get offended in this case anyway? It's not like the characters in the show look directly into the camera and say "hey (your name) you're a moron!." People just want things to complain about.

Somebody somewhere far away was just insulted. Do you care? No, because you didn't see it. Everyone likes to pick their battles. What I'm saying is, we shouldn't be having any battles at all. Turn the other cheek and eventually we won't have to turn at all.

Geeky kid - Check (gotta have one of these since geek chic is so popular now. and he is also disabled? way to kill two birds with one stone!)

Fat kid - Check

Jock - Check

Cheerleader - Check

Hot guy - Check

Hot chick - Check

Am I missing anyone? Yawn.

I've heard that the show is meant to be parody of similar shows, but I don't see it. I also heard that these kids are meant to be outcasts, WHAT!? As far as Sue Sylvester goes, she is basically a female version of Dr. Cox. Her type of character has been done before and far better.[quote]

I understand Freak-Z's opinion.

My friend described it as "great" and "excellent". I don't know why. I guess everyone has different opinions.

I like show a lot, but i can totally see all the negative points with it too.

I prefer to just enjoy it for the cringe-worthy guilty pleasure music.
Oh, and the man candy.

I have never heard of Glee. So I don't care.
