Who here hates thunderstorms? I hate them! There is one right now and I am scared to death!

Mixed feelings. I used to find them to be rather annoying, but I was never scared of them. Unless of course I was stuck out in the open with lightning bolts striking around me. Now that I live in California where we only get a thunderstorm once maybe twice a year at most, I kind of miss them. I guess I'm mostly glad I don't have to deal with them.

I don't like them when they're loud! If its too loud it sets me into a panic or I just cry! I never liked lightning ever in my life! When I was little, storms use to literally make me throw up from anxiety! Now I have a Buffy doll that's always with me which makes it fun so we can be scared together and comfort each other, and either hide under my Buffy blankets, or hide in the closet! We also sometimes watch Buffy the Vampire Slayer during a storm which consuls me! Either way it makes the thunderstorm more fun with Buffy!

I've never been able to like thunderstorms, no matter how much my mother assured me that they're nice, and not dangerous when one's indoors.
My previous laptop got destroyed during a reoccuring thunderstorm in town last summer, because I thought it was gone after a second turn. I was on a verge to have a meltdown.

I can't even stand the sound of thunder in games. Donkey Kong Country 3 has a level where one has to run through a lightning-ridden path, and I hate to do that one.

I love thunderstorms ... they symbolize freedom to me. A symphony of natural power, fury, and joy.

I love them. They're soothing and help me sleep.

I adore thunderstorms. Especially sitting on the step of the back door in the middle of a thunderstorm, with the rain on the roof and in the trees, and the thunder and lightning.

We get sheet lightning, but I love forked lightning.
I am also attracted to the sight of tornadoes, but I've never seen one off recordings. (good job too, I'd probably just walk into it or something :lmao:

I love wild weather - especially thunderstorms - provided I don't feel in danger

I particularly love watching thunderstorms at night - there was a fantastic one, when staying in Miami one time; I was in a tower block hotel, I went all round the floor trying to find windows to look out of and watch the forked lightning.

I find something very reassuring about uncontrolled nature. It makes me feel there is something much bigger than me and I find it very comforting.

I enjoy staring at the sea and the stars for similar reasons.

Those are some pretty good words you got there :D after googling their meanings, I can say I'm not, haha.

Yes a storm at night is amazing!! !... I need to feel it though ... through a window is not good enough. I need to feel the wind and smell the rain to really enjoy it.

I used to hate them as a kid, but I really enjoy them nowadays. Only problem is that the storm we had on sunday brought a freak hailstorm with it and shredded half my garden. Nothing got completely trashed and it's all recovering now, but some of them looked in a pretty sorry state when it was over.

I love them so much that I go storm chasing! I so want to see a tornado for myself (as long as I am not in it's path!) but have yet to do so. I also go hurricane/tropical storm chasing whenever one comes near enough to where I live to do so.
