Yes, I am not diagnosed, and I don't plan on paying the money to get dx(since I wouldnt get anything for it, I'm not in school anymore). So of course I may not have AS. I know there are lots of things about my life I want to change. All I know is I feel more at home talking in this forum than to people I know in real life and I believe the advice I am getting here is helping...so...

All of these conditions/disease classifications are just tools to get help to make your life better as I see it. That's why I come here and post. I want to learn more about myself. I seem to share many things in common with the people I've talked to... It's easy to talk about problems because of that and get advice.

I read some of the links he had about Aspergers being fake... The part said about how since doctors can't attribute the disorder to a part of the body and only classify symptoms then it's fake; Well, how can they possibly categorize the physical component to a brain disorder when not enough is known about the brain to do so? lol There are many brain disorders that are very outwardly obvious so I can't see how someone can rule out a psych dx.... It's a imperfect system to treat a real problem... What else do we have?

But yea, I know I'm giving a serious answer to something a 14yr old wrote in jest to be funny...so yea... lol
That kind of humor is sorta wasted on me, but I'm not really a "youngin" anymore... Maybe if I was younger, I'd laugh it it more

brahs and sisters, its funny and also an outrage. you can have a joke but it is out of order. revenge is not needed and i know i can talk when half the time i retaliate and get in a scrap but learn tolerence over those who are small and pety, one day something will happen to them and they will have a hard time. but accept and forgive and learn to be a man. i suggest a poem to the young men and lads on here called " IF " By rudyard Kipling. it helps me keep calm.

Wikipedia says he defined it in 1944! 1980+ was probably about the time some English speaker looked seriously at it. After all, a russian once created an obscure document(I believe it was in the 1950s), and Americans MUCH LATER used it to highly refine stealth technology. Late adoption doesn't make it any less real.

And they defined it as a disorder in the US in 1996! HEY, they ALSO outlawed Tryptophan! So the definition doesn't mean much.

Still, that site was created by an idiot, and I think this is his/her idea of a joke.

HEY, I didn't sit down at the airport much of the time today because I wanted my space! I never spoke to anyone other than the gate agent, and TSA. AND a woman I tried to help until I came to HATE her for grasping my arm, for NO reason to tell we a worthless piece of trivia! I had to look down when the light hit a certain level, and the pilot and flight attendant spoke on the PA system. The fact that I intuitively learn things some FEAR, etc... IS nice and COOL, and I wouldn't give it up, but there ARE some deficits also. I've never been one to brag but, if I wanted to, I would try to become a member of one or two of the "smart clubs"(Like Mensa), and brag of my membership to them for being a genius before claiming I have what many think is some really debilitating problem. Outside of my mother and one other forum, I never even mentioned AS.

Aww, I dunno, it depends on your sense of humor I guess... Stupid and funny, I think. There are way funnier articles than the one that began this thread. If I was in a bad mood I could probably get lost in Uncyclopedia for hours and come out chuckling... it's true that it's funnier than ED, and it's actually cleverer, too, IMO...

And, on a side note, I think that if someone looking for information stumbles upon one of these sites thinking it's legit, well... perhaps they're not looking closely enough at the little (no, they're not so little really...) details that give them away (no offense intended, bjmax31!)

I'm really glad I read this thread though because I had no idea these parodies existed, it's quite a formidable source of stupid / humorous entertainment...

Uncyclopedia is devoted to putting a humorous, ironic perspective on things, and their efforts are to be admired. It's designed to make people laugh. They are praiseworthy.

Encyclopedia Dramatica, however, is created with the explicit purpose of annoying as many people as possible or, in their terms, "creating drama." Why? Simple: they're zits on the face of humanity. If found, they are to be not only popped but squeezed until you are certain beyond a shadow of a doubt that they won't come back again. They're the lowest scum on the planet, and their "comedic" efforts should be seen for the repulsively sadistic behavior it is. They're like that kid in the hall who'd regularly drive you to a meltdown for a cheap laugh. They have literally no morals at all.

I love Wikipedia, I usually spend time reading some of the articles on there, like today I read about the Crystal Palace. n_n

Also, Encyclopedia Dramatica, besides a few articles, is mostly a wiki poking fun at the absurdity that is the LiveJournal community. Unless I'm mistaken, it was their article on mediacrat that got deleted from wikipedia that spawned the site: http://encyclopediadramatica.com/index.php/Mediacrat

I personally have a really mean sense of humour, so that could be why I'm used to things like this. u_u
