The fact that I've worked as a customer service rep in call centers is probably the least aspie thing about me, I was also a hotel front desk clerk for a few months and a drive-thru cashier off and on for 10 years.

Every job I've ever had involved heavy social contact yet the ones in which the interactions were mostly face-to-face were the ones I could tolerate the most. It seems counte-rintuitive but having customers physically present rather than calling every two seconds gave me the perception of being in control. Of course, one of the call center jobs managed to burn me out to the point of hospitalization and I had to quit another when it proved too stressful.

I also don't have a problem reading facial expressions or tone of voice. Maybe it's because I'm female and lived in a house full of women (My grandmother, mother, and two aunts) for the first four years of my life.

I lasted exactly 2 hours and a half at the only call center job I ever had. The lady in charge said ''I don't feel you can do this. Not now...and probably never.''

Kinda harsh but eh, I tried!

I'm quite outgoing in public.

I wear preppy clothes. I've been told I'm good looking.

I like girly pop music, I don't know if that means anything one way or the other, I see it as a sign of my NVLD/Aspergers/whatever, but most people on here don't listen to girly pop music if they're 20 year old guys.

I like some athletic stuff, and work out kinda often now. As a kid, I at least gave an honest try into athletic stuff.

I'm good at a wide variety of things, not just one thing. My "special interests" sorta worked out to be useful things, so all the special interests tie in to make me knowledgeable and good at a lot of stuff. IE, I can cook, know my way around a computer slightly better than average, know how to work on cars.

Going along with this, I'm actually quite self sufficient, almost to the point of obsession about being self sufficient, and am better at most people my age at "taking care" of myself, ie, ability to basically fend for myself.

I'm reasonably assertive in conversational dealings with random strangers.

Going along with this, I'm not afraid to haggle for prices, ask for free stuff, etc. At estate sales, I've gotten stuff for free just by being ballsy and just asking if I could have it for free.

I have a pretty good business sense, and am very outgoing when selling things. I'm naturally very entrepreneurial, and can see business as a "mask" of sorts.

I'm able to eat most foods I come across, not a picky eater at all.

Lastly, while I'm sort of "routine" based in the broad sense, ie, I don't like having my plans changed, I'm actually very good at trying new things of my own accord. I'm better than most people I know at simply trying new things, without worrying about whether or not negative will come of it.

I am very curious about food, especially if it is prepared by someone else, and my interests are rather short-lived (even though very intense).

I'm okay with changes in routine.

I can fake 'normal' social interaction (although it's exhausting) and I think I have good social skills one-to-one with NT people as long as they aren't super mainstream. I have close relationships with family and friends and can articulate my emotions well.

Really!? I had never heard that. Well... I can't do either, so those are two more ticks on the side of me being an aspie I suppose.

I did try both mind you. Soccer seemed the most possible, but I had to quit because I kept accidentally breaking the other girls' knees. :hmph:

I'm very touchy feely, I crave affection. As far as I know, most on the spectrum disdain even the slightest touch.

What gives you the idea that aspies are not curious about food?

Driving. I love to randomly pick somewhere in town and just drive there. Also I'm very good at remembering faces but that took several years of work so I'm not sure whether it counts or not.
