I'm an introvert (INTP), probably a NT introvert. Quite lame, because NT introverts are not popular or trendy. In fact we are practically invisible, we are shadowed by two forces that have strong virtual communities; extroverted NT's and autists/aspies. We are that half-way point that nobody notices. As Alvin31 has said here, we are "plain". Wow. Well, we are not plain, we are just unknown.

Introverted NT's fit better in this forum than in the "average NT forum" basically because Wrong Planet has a lot of introverted people.

This is the sort of thing I was getting at.

Well, I'd certainly like people not to impose their beliefs on me just to make themselves more comfortable with the ways in which I differ from them, so I have no interest in the indigo/crystal child thing. I don't need to be a spiritual "super hero" in order to not be awful for having limitations and difficulties. But I'll happily chat with an NT introvert if that will make being together and communicating easier and more fun for both of us.

:-P

Actually, there is more than one sub-culture emerging on WrongPlanet. Certainly there is an ASpie Pride faction. Mostly people with an official DX here who want to deny that having AS is a disorder or that they are autistic. There position is obvious in there replies. This is also highly atttractive to the newly dxed who want to continue in denial. There are those (myself for one) who have lived long with some ASD ( not dxed with Asperger's since it did not exist. "childhood schizophrenia' was a tenative dx my parents never accepted. Actually I am HFA but enough of this..) We know what this has cost us emotionally/finacially. etc. I see ASDs as definite DISORDERS. Not a thing to be ashamed of anymore, but nothing remotely deserving of pride. I did not choose a lifestyle. There are a few people not dxed who see this as just being intellectual/nerdy. Something like a cultural choice. A bit like the "Pride" thing.
There are the NTs with loved ones with ASDs they come here trying to understand what that person is going through, etc. Hats off to you! You are saints to put up with some of the crap someone might dish out in a meltdown.
And of course those with other Neurological or emotional problems (Bipolar, ADHD, NVLD).
Its a rather complicated picture, if you try to look at the Spectrum forest here!

Sincerely,
Matthew
