I can't stand people anymore.
Your thought processes are NOT a consequence of conscious change. You process information in a another way(more than likely due to how your brain is wired as others have mentioned) which results in a different perception.
It effects everything to one degree or another.
I'm not saying you are wrong, I'm saying that often-times you are going to be perceived as being wrong IF your thinking is in the minority.
It depends upon the circumstances.

When i started university I also had my own room but it didnt protect me from jerk-housemates. You will still have to use the communal spaces during mealtimes and for me thats when it was difficult not to get invested in their social crossfire.
Letting the university choose your housemates for you is similar to playing Russian Roulette. For me it didnt work, and at best i was having to deal with noise and at worst I was having to deal with bullying and harrassment. During the peak of my maltreatment Some as*hole filled my keyhole with superglue and prevented me from opening my door. I was forced to break the door down, and without the benefit of a lock as the university facilities staff took their time to replace it some of my belongings went missing when i attended lectures.
Thats just my experiences, i hope it works better for you.

I'm not completely sure what you mean. Do you mean it's "normal" for me to react to these things this way but others might think I'm the one who's wrong?
Just get through it. Keep focusing on the fact that soon, you will be able to leave.
Saturday next week can't come soon enough. I almost wish I'd have a meltdown. I need to make room for more emotions. Do you know what I mean?

That's terrible. Sorry you had to go through that. I've been a bit worried about bullies as well. I hope I don't run into any.
