Hmm...I didn't think my neurotypical score would be that high.

yet i got a 21 on the "geek syndrome test", which said "you are unlikely to have asperger's syndrome."

i tried to be as honest as possible. i liked the long test the best. it seemed the least biased of the three, with the least loaded questions, i guess.

hi.

Though I always score in the Aspie zone, sometimes when I take these kinds of tests, I answer differently than the last time, depending on my mood. Like i will get hung up on a question and do not know how to answer and finally I just give an answer...being indecisive, this can happen any time, but especially on tests that have no "right" answer.

One problem I have in answering these tests is that they only give a few options. For example, one question asked in all tests is "Do you enjoy meeting new people?" Well, if the person's nice, and makes me feel comfortable, then yes, meeting them was a good experience. I'm trying to open up to more people, and if meeting someone goes smoothly, I feel great about it. Probably more so than an NT due to my past difficulties.

On the other hand, the idea of meeting a total stranger for whatever purpose fills me with dread. I look at these questions waaay to literally, and as a result, I have a hard time answering them. (Tell me that isn't an Aspie trait...)

I'll also have varying answers due to whatever mood I'm in, but for the most part, I obsess over the wording of the question. It's an exact science I know, and for a quick online quiz, it's pretty good. I'm just wondering if anyone else is as worried about the wording as I am...

Yes, I agree with you. Sometimes I just need more information or a more specific scenario to answer a question well. What I liked about the linked test, though, is that it allowed for an "I don't know" option, which was really useful when encountering a question about a habit I wasn't sure if I had or not. It appeared to be thorough as well.

I'm surprised it's that clear-cut. Thought I was fairly NT.
