Argument for Autism being a breakthrough in evolution

We are a product of our environment, it shaped us and will continue to do so as we shape our own environment.

No telling what will happen next, but I am guessing larger brain size, better memory, less muscle tone.

As far as autism being evolutionary...who knows, mutations drive evolution and they have no sense of weather they are good or bad mutations...the environment determines that. If autism thrives in todays environment I see it becoming a beneficial gene and driving evolution forward...but I just cant see that happening.
