My score was 90.

It says I have a below average emotional I.Q.

Boo on me...

Your Score: 116
"Your EIQ is excellent - much higher than average. This means that, in general, you are able to express your feelings clearly in appropriate situations. You are optimistic and positive, and adapt well to changed circumstances. You deal effectively with stress, interact with others and communicate adequately. You are comfortable with yourself, and you know and appreciate your talents and strong points as well as your weaknesses. You are able to motivate yourself, find the energy and the strength necessary to complete what you need to do to reach your goals. You are one of the resilient people who bounce back after major drawbacks, survive hardship without bitterness, and still manage to empathize with others. These skills will certainly bring you long-term benefits such as stronger relationships, better health and personal happiness." :o

I got a 91, but there is only one problem. I don't HAVE emotions. At least, not strong ones, mine are very faint, and have almost no affect on what I do. I agree, this test is bogus.

I got an 85 on this one.

A while ago, I took a really long, detailed EQ test. It involved identifying emotions in different pictures, saying what people should do in certain situations, saying how certain situations would make someone feel, etc. I got a really low score. I think it was 50 or 60. It basically said I'm emotionally ret*d.

I don't think most of us here on these forums would need a test to confirm that!

I like the meyers-briggs test and tests like it. I took a very interesting one similar to it though I don't remember what its called, but it divides people into 4 categories and each has a color. I did this in a group where we split up and went with people of the same color, and it was amazing the similarities between the people in my group.

=________= 64. And I thought I was being /nicer/ to myself on some of the questions (ie under exaggerating).

Mind you, I'm in a bit of a slump at the moment. I wonder if I tried it when I was in a better mood it'd be better.

What's the difference between being emotionally intelligent and being emotionally well adjusted? That tests seems to measure the latter IMO.

I could imagine someone being emotionally intelligent (i.e. understanding their feelings well) yet still being unable to control them.

I just don't get what that test is after.
