Fear of enclosed spaces. More specifically only with one thing. Tube slides are my bane. I honestly cannot go into a tube slide because I fear someone will plug both ends and I'll never be able to get out.

The other one is Escalaphobia.

The fear of escalators. However, this one I am not sure. I don't even think its a phobia because I am not afraid of them because I fear they will eat me or I'll get stuck on them or killed by one of them.

More or less I cannot determine the speed they are going at. I miss my timing with them all the time. So I avoid them like the plague. I have no way of determining how or when to get on an escalator. I just wish that we'd stop creating moving stairs. Its hard to find a regular staircase in a mall these days.

I have had a huge fear of heights since I was little. I nearly fell through a gap in a balcony when I was about two - I have a complete memory of it. The panic of being unable to squeeze back to safety, then getting shaken and yelled at too, burned that into my memory. Now balconies and cliffs and even driving up a hill I can't see over put me in almost a state of paralysis. I can know cognitively I'm fully safe, but it doesn't help the feelings much. I tried a neurolinguistic programming technique to desensitize myself, without much results. Likely because of my poor neurological integration - that makes it hard for my frontal cortex to talk down my amygdala :D

I have a phobia of invasive medical treatment by medical staff I do not know. If I'm stressed and shifted on the spectrum it's almost any medical treatment.
I've said I would rather die and usually it's true. If I am not drugged up I will either bolt out the door or put up a big fight. It's weird because usually I am so zen!
However, I was that kid who bit the doc and fought the nurses so hard over a shot that I got banned from the clinic. ;-)

I'm guessing that you and an MRI machine wouldn't work and play well together?

A friend of mine was terrified of escalators for years but never knew why...UNTIL her brother reminded her that one of her shoestrings had gotten hung up and trapped her on an escalator when she was five. She had no memory of the event until that moment. And it completely explained her fear.

I have a fear of beating someone to death who gets to the top of an escalator and then stops to look around when there are people coming up right behind him and running into each other. :x

Papyrophobia. Fear of paper. Mostly balled up paper. Especially small, tightly wrapped or balled up. Disgusting. I can't touch or look at it. Disgusting.

I'm terrified of going on rollercoasters.

Unless I take Xanax. Then I can't get enough of riding them.
