in either case I would probably think they were thinking important thoughts instead of trying to send me some message like Carmack the Magician

That's my point, you're assuming what they're doing based on your understanding of that behavior. You think they're "thinking important thoughts" and may be quiet, leave them alone. When actually they're sulking, hungry, love sick, have a headache et al, and they're angry that you're "ignoring" that. That's what I mean, we're all guilty of assuming at some point. It's just that Aspies are in the minority, so we are the jerks that lack empathy. :)
On the other hand, when someone gets in my face and asks me "What's Wrong?!" with a high-pitched voice, it doesn't feel very empathetic or sympathetic. It tells me that I'm inappropriately grimacing and I better tell a very sad story to justify the lack of ecstatic expression.

Pfft! What dose this lady think she is a expert of? A expert of opinion and thinking she believes she is. That is no thing you can be a expert of, m'lady, that's just something that comes to us all. While we all have our times where we think we are all high and mighty, to think that your thoughts would matter more then any creature, even a plant, disgusts me. We, as humans, are highly technological beings with a wide range of interests, thoughts, minds, and opinions. To think that one person's "thinking" is more superior, powerful, and/or better then the rest is total blasphemy. We, no, every human on the face of earth are not rookies when it comes to thinking and saying your opinion. If experts of such do exist, then I do dare say that we are all experts of thinking and your just anouther one of us and are no better nor worse.

Sorry about that, I just had to rant about that :) I thought this would be the most approprate place so I putted that here.

Thank you to "no criminal intent" - for real

to others out there:
just pop in to this site?
no - just found this site as of 3-31 (see joined date)
thx

and who is following who?
he is supposed to be at work during the day
not stretching out his 15 minute afternoon break to a 30 minute break
& not stretching out his 30 minute lunch to a 1-2 hour lunch
I am off in the day time

Heck I dream of it being a for real thing with future prospects - who are you kidding?
I have gone thru much more prolonged effort than imaginable, reading, researching, going to library, searching on line, buying books on line, keeping a short novel on the situation, approached him twice, taken my sleep time (day time) to see him, gone out of my way to go to his work to make purchases I really did not need just to see him etc etc etc

Anyone know any other person go thru so much trouble for so little in the end and still want?
(and to try to become prepared for how to with an AS as well) gosh...

oh and to Zanne Marie
pls recall in the end - the last time I approached him - he told me he had a family
so I backed off 100%
the rules of life are you are not to do those sorts of things
I am not a slut or I'd have never researched a thing and would have jumped his bones a year ago in March 2006!
Now that would have been sensory overload for the poor guy

Heh, that phrase describes an ex-boyfriend of mine with such amazing rhetorical precision that I'm going to steal it.

I just read that article and I haven't been so disgusted in ages. My AS step-father, one of the kindest, most decent humans on earth, was emotionally and financially devastated by his first marriage to one of those poor NT "victims." After four children, she left him because she was tired of his never being around (he worked two jobs); his "tyranny" over the kids (he insisted they eat right, study hard, and learn a musical instrument); and his "boring" personality (he preferred reading and coaching their kids' soccer teams over drinking binges and trips to Vegas). If it wasn't for him meeting my AS mom and finally being loved and appreciated for himself, I don't know what would have become of him. This "expert's" views are absolutely repellant to me.

How do you know the guy was AS anyway? I don't think anyone would think you a slut. I find it very weird and compulsive. I could never imagine myself in that situation. I guess I have a lack of empahty.

Funny that I'm still totally baffled by the relationship of circles and why she popped in here to talk about in the first place. *shrugs*

Considering some of the strange ways Ive tried to attract a woman, sounds alsmost normal to me. :)

That made me laugh and want to ask, So how is that working out for you?

Peachy keen. Or not. In fact, totally not. I guess I can take solace in knowing Im not a part of the population explosion problem.

Just kidding. I have two beautiful daughters.

But meeting a woman for me has been harder than a clutzy aspie making the US gymnastics team. Its not that I dont have a social life. Im really handsome (no really..............whats so funny?) and girls pick me up and Ive never had a problem with that. But all those times where I fancied someone who didnt make advances, forget it. Lost cause. Stupid man now entering picture.

so ive given up with that one.

and I will never repeat some of the stupid things Ive said or done. I just wish I could forget them.

Yeah, thats a pretty off the wall way of saying that. As if the more severe versions can be cured. That website is the most offensive one Ive ever seen. Idiots.
