Johnathan came over today to help bale hay and haul it to the barn, then go rotate cattle we were riding a cross the pasture, I thought it would be funny to call him on the phone even though he was next to me on a horse we talked on the phone over a hour, I learned more about him in that hour than since I meet him a week ago. will he ever get to that point of face to face as far as talking I mean.not sure why he likes to hang out so much all we do is work and ride horses....
Some autists use devices to help them communicate better. It might be that a cell phone helps Johnathan communicate, too. It might be too soon to say whether he will communicate as well face-to-face.

That seems to be high praise for you. After a lifetime of shunning by others, some autists end up avoiding potential friends. I would say that Johnathan's family sees you as a loyal friend. Congratulations!
