Angora goats, alpacas, both friendly, like to be petted, then sheared in the spring. It leaves a room full of fur, spun to thread, woven and knitted, a petting industry.

I thought that was called "California"? Actually,as soon as the design a virtual world that will by my real world food and pay my real world rent....I'm in.(Hopefully they will have a job opening there for my area of skills..."Dog hugging and bunny petting".) :D

Something in a petting zoo?

I thought they made you "pay to pet the animals",not pay you to pet them 8O??? .....*krex rushes to the nearest petting zoo with resume in hand.

(I realy, really need to start reviewing my posts for typos and spelling errors before I hit the magic button, doubt I will, though)

Yeh, customers. But you can get special perks as staff. See what I mean?

YES!!!We will have a park reserve for wild beasts AND a petting zoo for the fur and animal obsessed aspies.

Can we have a bird-house and reptile-house for those aspies obsessed in either/both of those?

In order for this to work you need Bill Gates to give us $1 Billion Dollars.

We can dream, can't we?

No one has to give us anything. It does involve work. That seems to leave most out. Good.

As sigholdaccountlost said, we can dream, which is the key skill to creating a plan, which is the first step in doing anything. Thought forms, dreams, take on a life of their own.

The rest is work, but some of us like working for ourselves. Owning the land, building your own home, controling your own future through thought and labor.

All is thought, and I like the reptile idea. I know one snake species which is in high demand, and can be ranched. A snake is worth as much as a cow. All they want is crickets and a little water.

for anyone who thinks it couldn't exist, have a look at camphill communities which are all over the world.
they are villages for people with learning/developmental disabilities, although non neurodiverse people do live there, they are hosts for those with disabilities.
here's one that was in a documentary on channel four some years ago:

There are some very big pitfalls to this plan. Perhaps AS people are on the average more intelligent than the general human race and even more talented for a technological social system. But there have been some very intelligent nasties in history to cause real trouble in a hierarchical social system and technological advance can very quickly lead to rigid totalitarianism. And a separation from the general population, especially if it is successful, can engender violent racism and terrible persecution. Remember Jonestown. Beyond that, the American dollar is in steep decline in value and perhaps becoming of small worth in comparison to other currencies.

I'm just wondering- is the 'nt' society so awful that we must move away to our own nation? It just sounds like a bad idea- everything I need is right here where I am.

I would make a society where everyone, AS, NT or otherwise, are welcome, but the laws of the society are ones that are more in line with our AS sensibilities...

I've noticed I get a strange Dejavu feeling around certain people. Its as if I recall acting the same way. Thats how I differentiate bettween NTs and those with any form of Autism.

I think that such a nation would be great. But where would we start such a place? I'd move to one if it had fair laws and a temperate or cold climate. I think we should allow NTs to live there as well, because they can cope with things that aspies can't, and diversity is essential.

A reasonably sized island would be good, if there was anywhere. Someone should buy an island and invest in it, make it aspie orientated, and build it up into a powerhouse. I know how.

Or we could just buy up land near a Native American reservation and invite them to join us. From my experiance Native American tribes are far more accepting of others than your typical NT American.

Don't count on it. People are people everywhere.
