I had this when I was extremely stressed. I am stressed still but try to keep my mental fatigue under check. I was laugh at inappropriate things. It was uncontrollable and I hated it.

To a very small degree I guess... not really inappropriate I don't think: -

Something funny happens, I'll usually find it amusing for longer than others around me.

When I think of something funny while I'm just sorta wandering around, I may just sorta laugh...

Press button/receive bacon has been my favorite for years...it's hard to think about buttons without saying it out loud. I'd kill to have it on a shirt \m/

One of my favorite movies is Throw Momma from the Train...the first time I saw it, I was laughing through the entire thing, and my friends just kept looking at me weird ¬_¬ I've seen it at least 20 times, and it still makes me laugh every time.

But I think, in my entire life, the one thing that made me laugh the longest was when I saw Shrek 2 at the drive-in with a friend...I thought the movie was kind of a let-down after the first (which isn't the god-send everyone claims anyway), but there's a scene where Shrek and pals are in a disguise at the factory, and he walks past a worker and goes "Working hard, or hardly working?"

I don't even know why, something about the delivery and the situation in general, I just lost it. I'd laugh for a good few minutes, then I'd finally suck it in...and lose it again a few minutes later ;D The laughing fits even continued into the movie afterwards, 50 First Dates. All of a sudden I'd just go "Working hard, or BWA HA HA." and fall over laughing.

Man...good times.

But yeah, getting in trouble for inappropriate laughter sucks =/ From my experience, it seems like girls are more likely to get on my case about it >_<

i laugh as a sign of relief. this can come across very, very wrong --- for example, mom cut herself on a sharp knife, but once i realized it wasn't bad enough for stitches or anything, i laugh a bit. same when someone burned themself on teh stove.

Laugh inappropriately? That's a big Yes for me. When I get nervous I begin to laugh uncontrollably (or else cry). I laughed uncontrollably at my grandmother's funeral, and my cousins thought I was crying (tears were running down my face). One of them commented to the other, "Gee, she's taking it pretty hard, don't you think?"

I also have this nervous little laugh that I do whenever I reply to someone's question or am being asked an opinion in daily conversation. I got it from my mother (she does the exact same thing) and it drives me nuts whenever I do it, but it's an automatic reflex kind of habit and I can't stop it.

I once laughed when my boyfriend got in the shower and slipped and fell out of the tub. But he told me lot of people laugh when people get hurt.

There were other things I laughed about others didn't find funny.

I don't think this happens very often thank god.

I don't laugh when people fall over but I remember in school a few times I would laugh and laugh and laugh at nothing at all. I think they were close to the only times that the other kids heard me make a noise lol.

Whoa, I can't believe I didn't see this topic before. I have this problem as well. Sometimes, I'll be thinking of something and start laughing during the most inappropriate times. This happened to me in class one day, the teacher was giving a lecture and I was thinking about a joke I heard on the tonight show and started laughing out loud. Everyone looked at me, it was so embarrassing.

I tend to laugh at my own jokes, a habit I find irritating in others. :?
